Sunday Ride- 4th Sept, 2011




Meeting Point : Nashik Phata on NH4
Meeting Time : 5:45 am
Departure Time : 6.00 am (departure time kept early to avoid heavy traffic till Rajgurunagar)

This time whoever come's after 6:00 am will have to give his bike to others for one side of the journey... penalty (Please note: in case if own bike is not present then the penalty would be postponded to the next ride in which the defaulter brings his bike )

Distance is not a issue at least not after chikhaldara ride....
about the caves and photography.. yes we may miss either of them but i guess it wont bother anyone of us a lot though i will force them for the cave... lets c...

Also...is the body armor and knee pads stuff complusary. I feel so restricted in those. I do use a helmet though.

He would be arriving around 7 pm on 3rd September i.e. tomorrow at The MotoCafe. He is on PAN India ride and would like to meet local members.

I request all members to meet at The MotoCafe tomorrow.

It is nice to note that you use a Helmet. The body armor and the knee pads are the only defense you have against injuries when on a bike. I am sure that one or two rides with all the safety gear on you will be enough to make you understand the importance and the "feel safe" factor while riding with proper gear. I'm sure the comfort factor would grow as you get used to the gear.

The safety regulations imposed by ride originator are for the safety of all participants and also to ensure that the rides are enjoyable. It is a humble request to all ride participants to ensure that they meet the minimum safety criteria imposed as per our norms.

I've arranged all my hotel bookings at Rajasthan (Udaipur, Jaisalmer & Jaipur), except Pune, Mumbai & Delhi (Delhi, will take a call next weekend)

Reached kanyakumari at 8. Got room near tamilnadu hotel at 350 bucks. Full on spiritual party in progress.
Did the planned 3 day ride. Now 3 more days in hand. Any suggestions?

The Plan- Ahupe Ghat, Nane Ghat, Malshej Ghat etc. (surprise, surprise........... :P)
The Route- Pune - Nashik Rd to Nasik Phata - Google Maps
Total Distance - + 300kms

Meeting Point : Nashik Phata on NH4
Meeting Time : 5:45 am

Mandatory Safety Gear:
a. Helmet: Has to be in good condition and preferably ISI/DOT certified
b. Thick Jacket/Riding Jacket: Must have inbuilt armour or external armour is also allowed
c. Gloves: Must cover vital points like knuckles and wrist. Cut/half gloves not allowed
d. Riding Pants, Knee Guards: Either bionic or regular flex type. Should be worn inside trousers if non bionic.
e. Riding Boots/Sports Shoes/Army Boots: Anything that covers the foot well.
