At CSS we were asked not to use the brakes for most of the track sessions. With only little bit of brakes allowed in rest of sessions.

They didn't taught us how to use brakes as we had lots of other things to learn and practice before we could taught how to use brakes.

In case you want to learn things and learn them from those who knows how its done and if you can't afford / wait for CSS. TWO (indiMotard adventures - motorcycle experiences, india and beyond!) is another option. Register for it (its on 11, 12 Feb) and start the learning process.

I hope you are convinced now that braking and gear shifting and just about everything else should be done BEFORE you enter a corner and not IN the corner irrespective of what the corner is(can be a hairpin too). Since the coaches there were immensely approachable I am sure you have this query sorted with one of them else you can post about it at

Nope, not fully - to the bold above.
I'll again repeat what I said in the cornering thread, brake and shift to gear before the corner but on public roads, there could be some instances when you might have to brake in the corner - to cut down on some speed. This is how I ride, I'm not expert in riding so not telling anyone to follow/not-follow it. Learn from the experts, by what ever means you can.
On track, during "no brakes & one gear" drill, I have never touched the brake/gear at any moment of time, even when I went a bit too fast for some corners, for my skill level.

Btw, on Day 1, in white group classroom Dylan did mention about deep braking into a corner. Also, I'm told about some coach mentioning about trail braking and its benefits in CSS classroom for the first batch (held on the previous weekend) for lvl 1, 2 &3.

Such sessions are held only at a race track. Coimbatore is just over a day's ride (one way). If people can ride/ship the bikes to ride to their fav riding destination, I see no reason why one can't take 2 days off/ship bike+fly to attend a riding school on a race track, if really interested.

You will have to check from the traffic cops if having it on the mudguard is ok with them. I took off my front plate and put a nice sticker on the front fairing just below the HONDA badge. It looks neat and the cops are happy to see the plate on the main body of the vehicle - I asked a local cop and he gave the thumbs up.

Of course that is the ideal situation but one of the coaches told us in lvl1 that if u need to tighten line and by experience u know hook turn isnt going to do that , then u reduce throttle,brake a little and lean it more than u did earlier.

but from my experience on the track I tried doing both at c10 , I felt more relaxed while doing the hook , so thats what I am going to try to do first rather than brake and lean more. (on public roads)

I wanted to know if there are any other sessions like these, before one could attend CSS, since many might not aware of it & you guys know more & I can't take weekday off for now...but surely will like to attend in future.
For interested people more on indiMotard read here (Team-Bhp).
There is one such track school I came across is AUTOMISSION Motorsport it is located at Khopoli, & best place to play with an off roader, dirt bikes. I'm not sure about the actual race track, but the dirt track is ready & the proposed plan is here. If anybody has experienced it, can enlighten others.

Plenty of places you can keep your riding gear, but carry valuables with you like cameras etc.

Hi guys, I want to add some reflective material/sticker (without stitching) at the back and front on my alpinestar TRC1 jacket, since there is no reflective lining/ material on the jacket at all.

Now the question is:

1) How to do it?

2) Where will I get the material?

what care should i take when i crank it again?
i mean the cleaning of filters/ carb or anything else?
should i check for battery charge?

secondly, done 20k on odo, the rear tyre all worn out..
i wish to change it to a new one, am confused in between MRF VYDE and CEAT
which one is better?

also, how do i search if this issue has been targeted before on xBHP?

i have my P220F idle for almost a month.
what care should i take when i crank it again?

Just turn on the ignition, push the starter button... thats it... it should start easily. unless you kept the air filter removed or use dirty grade fuel, no extra precautions are really required.. maybe you can ride to the nearest showroom and just get your bike serviced.. thats it!

not required, if the electric starter does not work, you need to jump start the bike / push start it and ride to the nearest service center.. if if the battery is low, you cant do anything about it except for trickle charging it at home.
