"Dog" - "all the time on road", looks like someone can make up more jokes on it. I wont

PS: Isnt blood group identification like a 5 second job. I guess they anyway would check it whether or not you tell them, even before collapsing for the need of blood.

Very True- "Motorcycling is not, of itself, inherently dangerous. It is, however, extremely unforgiving of inattention, ignorance, incompetence, or stupidity."

I like- "Bikes are not supposed to be a rational decision. If you can park it and walk away without looking back to admire it, you got the wrong one."

Checking in ambulance is not done...as they check the tags or driving license that you own and then attach the required blood bag to your body along with shots of morphine in emergency situations...But yes they do carry a blood bag of all groups before attaining a accident case...

Anyways i really dont see this issue being argued or explained further...

Again i would like to tell its upon every rider an his preferences...

Dog tags? do you no anyplace in Pune where I can get it (Funky's?)? I have few which I used it US & Aus but not useful in India since it carries other info as well. I need it, since I go for treks alone sometimes.
Regarding donation, I did it a month ago so I'm out for 2 more months. But let me know if there is any blood donation drive.

No one carries any of them but yes the bike is inspected by bystanders...I have seen this happening. Atleast by looking at the front panels (which is hope not to be destroyed or yes the back one is still there)
All needs to be done getting the group to the paramedic..Thats why helmet, jacket if possible, bike and bags...

The ambulances that stock blood do have these equipments man. Infact the one that I have subscribed for (Topsline- which is sadly only in mumbai) has a LOT of jazzy equipment on them.

Whats with this no further 'argument' 'explaination' thing that you keep bringing upon all the time? Have noticed this before too with the grubshup thing and some other things too. It sounds like Eshan baabas pravachan, hamne toh bol diya, baaki aage ispar koi discussion nahi hoga.
On second thought, very much like one Mr Arbaaz khan from some hindi movie where he says "Bol diya"!

ps: no more discussion/argument/comment/likes/dislike on this +1 ROFL and other Inder paaji comments are allowed though.

                • Disclaimer: I am not against having visible stickers with your blood group, contact details, etc pasted on your vehicle, helmet, etc etc.

If they simply supply you blood without testing your blood group, just based on what they see as a sticker put on bike (in case your wallet with DL is stolen). To me, its a dangerous thing to do.
Imagine, a friend/family member borrows your bike and unfortunately meets with an accident. If his blood group is different to yours (as shown by the sticker on your bike). It should be trouble.

                  • I found this @ E-Square.

Dog Tag is a more practical idea since it will go with you till the hospital even if the nocturnal highway scavengers even take away your clothes. (in case you end up there) People can actually call up the ICE contact to inform about your whereabouts. All blood banks verify blood group from a sample before handing out any blood, so telling your blood group to anyone is useless.
Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

@ Anant - I see, then yes with the above posting and addition of dog tags will help too..

What I wanted to say was that a hospital/ambulance/doctor should not supply blood to an unknown person, just by looking at the blood group written on his vehicle/helmet/jacket/etc.

                          • I am not sure if this is quite a topic for such a long discussion ... but one another place where I have noticed this in person in at Raid de Himalayas and Deset Storm Rallies conducted by Maruti Motorsport. My brother being a Marshall, member organizer and part time ralliest has it on his Gypsy and Esteem... Moreover... Gaurav Gill has it on his Evo ...
Now.. it might be a mandatory thing to do in Rally ... so i guess its equally good for people who want to have it on their bikes as it is for people who dont want to have it.
