BTW, Grand Indian Roadtrip is landing Pune on 19th March. Route: Pune - Mulshi - Diveagar.

The cat is out of the bag and it is necessary for me to update my fellow riders from Pune on an issue that is being discussed at large on the Mumbai Thread.

You all guessed it correctly; the issue of a mandatory "Safety Gear". The issue here is not of the importance of Safety Gear but is quite different to what we have associated and perceived the gear as.

I believe that writing this on a post may not make sense but a discussion on this in the next week's G2G is needed. I request all the bikers from the Pune clan to be present for the next G2G.

Eshan: As a favor, could you please initiate the G2G and have it organized at any location that ensures maximum participation.

Before we start debating this here, let me assure you all that this is not a forced decision, we are all free to come together and discuss on the exact reason why we are changing our policy.

Next week's g2g date - 21-3-2012, Ill keep the venue where everyone can participate.

@others - there will be a poll kept after today's g2g between two places. Maximum votes win and that will be the place for next week's g2g...

Please ensure you vote and be present on the g2g...Dont just vote for the sake of it and be absent, its a task to arrange one and keep every vote in importance. Please co-operate...

Also i wanna clear one thing, thanks NV for taking out this topic of g2g venue...

Some members think that i love TMC (The Moto Cafe) more than any venue just cz its on my office route. Well there is nothing like that, TMC is equally important for me just the way Roopali or even that place we went that day near Inder's home... after riding for 50 odd kms everyday another 10 to 20kms do not make a difference.

For me any g2g location would do, the place selected usually happens on a roll type basis. We are bikers and i believe any place is not a problem, if this g2g meeting is taken in this spirit then i really doubt that there would be a venue problem every week...

Also, anyone can come forward and can set up a g2g, its that simple.

EDIT - I raised this issue cz there was another g2g taken place at Roopali last week when it was scheduled at TMC. I just want all members to be present, thats all. Nothing more nothing less.

Just for the record though, there was no G2G at Roopali. It was just a last minute plan when a couple of us, old timers were in the vicinity of Roopali and we decided to meet. As you said, we are bikers and a few km here or there make no difference

The G2G on 21st is important as there are quite a few announcements that we will be making that day. Hopefully all the Pune members active/passive/dormant/migratory(if possible) mark their attendance on that day.
