Now what happened to your bike?

More precisely, what did you do to your bike that even YFS cannot fix?

The handling is bad on right handers and the YFS guy confirmed its a fault in Fork alignment and adjusted it till now 4 times, but not getting the desired outputs and its like, everytime i go i have to spend money behind same issue. Actually the fork can be aligned using alignment machine but the yfs guys are not doing so better take it out to some lat machine guy and make it done

I am nt actually new to xbhp.. but new to this pune offline g2g thread..
Well i have been shifted in pune about a year back n i was silently following this thread from past a week and would love to join this group..
Actuall i had a bit of a query nd i needed help from u guys..
I am plannng to buy a new bike here.. dont know if this is the right place to ask or not.. sry if it aint..
So actually i am pursuing my engineeing from pune and i wanted a new bike here..
i was thinking of the duke 200 or an fz or avenger.. i had an fz bck at my home from past three years and am deeply satisfied by it bt nw i wanted some chng so thining of the duke..
So any of u guys here if have a duke or avenger or fz or evn if u dont.. can u pls tell me its report here n pune.. n also wud itb comfortable to go on some rides like to lonavala mumbai etc ob these..
N pls advise me wichbike to book..
N i would luv to join u guys as soon as i get my bike if possible..

Why dont you join us in this weeks G2G which happens in wednesday and check out the KTM and meet the owners, take their verdict and finalise.

Regarding Avenger i think vishwas is the right guy as he had it for 10 years.

I wish i could join you all... Apart from Run In speeds the bike wont be having number plate because the registration is going to be done by Monday or Tuesday...

@eshan - runnin in means you can ride the bike till 5000-5500 rpm i.e speed of 70-75 can be done so you can easily ride, as i also had done the breakfast ride at RK lonavala when my bike was just 200 kms.

I tried the CBR 250R and 150R respectively @ Pashankar Auto

Prices have increased to 1,69,XXX on road. Was shooting the budget a bit high so a big no no. Also i dint find that aggressive seating which I was looking for in a bike. CBR has its own issues in the market which you are completely aware.

Noways, the quality of parts was similar, i could see those gaps are the rear seat fairing. Pashankar allowed to give my a test ride, first they were not ready but somehow convinced them. I went on two test rides -

1st Ride Alone - The bike is fantastic, good for city roads i guess. Highway riding would also be equally good. What i notice there was console, similar to its elder sibling and that feel you get OMG its got everything wasn't actually there... its like you are paying for a Ferrari no doubt but the dashboard and overall feel looks like a Vauxhall, messed up and cost saving to the core. Mind you an F50 had the worst setup but it was backed up by power delivery which i felt the CBR couldnt as per my riding skills (Which are useless i believe )

2nd Ride with pillion - It struggles quite a lot, esp the route from Balgandharva to Corporation was only been done on 1st and 2nd. I could barely go on 3rd even having an empty patch in front of the Joshi Wade shop till left turn of VW showroom. I think this might be covered in high end rpms.

The cost was also bit high and the overall quality delivery dint appeal me. Also Honda has quality issues in regards to 250R. I dont wish to risk for the 150R as iam investing for the next 2 years minimum.

NV, i also tried KTM. The bike for me was too short, pillion had no place never-mind there wont be any. Mirrors are too, short stroke motor is simply superb but i guess above 110, 115kmph would be heavy wind blasts. Thats ok with me but somewhere a faired had captured my sleep since months now.

So went ahead and booked the R15, iam not looking for pillion that much since hardly anyone sits but the overall feel and posture made me go crazy. I just dont know one thing why most of them are worrying about it in the city when my riding is 90% Highway and 10% city. Also the bike has been around from quite sometime 2008 and Yamaha have surely released a good upgrade from its previous version.
