hi everyone, it seems my bike was not ready to go for kaas or for the ducati meet as i met with the most weird accident on Saturday in Balewadi while returning from motocafe late nigh around 11 pm, where a dog came from somewhere and got stuck in my rear wheel and i did a mistake of panic braking resulting in the rear part lifted up to a 45% angle and leading to a bad skid where i was landed on my face but thanks to my stars that i had wore my cross helmet which took the entire impact and saved me from any major injuries, though i have suffered some bruises in my both hand knuckle and my right knee which will take a time of week for recovery.

the bike has lost one of the mirrors the nose has some scratches and the passenger left side foot rest is broke and rider left side foot peg is in a bad shape though she is in a ride able condition

These dogs are one of the biggest menace on roads...I for once have also been made a victim of the same many months ago...

Seems all plastic.....Hope your forks and rims are not distorted...!

yes man, i am good just with some wrist pains and some bruises, the cross helmet got sacrificed in this crash.


The only point which i feel bad is i had all th gears in my bag given by surojit and rockrz but i did not wore them.

@saad - i just asked the costs and it amounts around 1k for the spares. rest all things are all right

I think he stopped after I gave him the finger 2-3 times! Also told him after we reached our destination.

I think much more discipline is required for group riding! Since some people were not part of xbhp! the group briefing is all the more important!

buddy, i agree with the second point, but the guy was riding pretty well when we returned. maybe your talks had the effect..

as far as the first point is concerned, please note that we were riding with other groups, our group members are regular group riders and we all follow the rule of using side indicators when overtaking even when we are not riding on a tour or in our regular riding hence no one must have briefed.

we have put the riding rules on the forum first page and urge all members to read them before joining any group ride.

the dog survived man as i saw him running out of the rear wheel when the rear wheel was like 1 feet in the air.

I hope it was just a dog Shrinath!and I hope it is doing fine! Wear that bloody riding gear that you invested for! and you better slow down and look for 'dogs' within you! This is proably the 11th incident I have heard of in as many months!

Just relax and enjoy the riding, expect the unexpected when riding in India!

The Dogs will come into your lane, the rickshaw ahead will take a stupid turn, there will be a cow in every blind corner and if there isnt there would be stupid cage there, there will be oil spill on the road with traffic... all other vehicles on the road dont even have 1/10th of the sensibilty that you have! They would be stupid, they are out there to kill you! Plain and simple! Get this into your head, and you should be fine!

PS: I was hoping to see a lot of pune folks yesterday! I met only the Icing paaji and not the cake members! Inder, Rishabh, and others dudes you guys should have step in and controlled the group rather than allowing them ride like mad men!

Hey Dude!

Hope your feeling better man. I am kind off suprised that you were not wearing your gear as whenever I have seen you riding (even on the splendor) you would at least have your jacket on.
