Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

                          • I can tell you...it was pure fear. The first time I rode someone elses superbike I was shivering like nuts myself.
With a wheelbase which is just 11.7 cm longer than that of an R15 the bike feels very very light and agile to handle.
11.7cm is slightly bigger than our customary conventional measuring scale/ruler which is used at schools.
For this minimal increase in its wheelbase (length of the bike) the bike has 1000cc and 180 horses stuffed between your legs. Now anyone tapping this power in that lightweight and miniscule frame is bound to be shitting bricks the first time he/she is on such a machine.
A 600 wouldnt have scared you so much but take it in writing that ANY 1000cc will scare you to death not just the first time you sit on it but for a long long time to come.
There are moments on a day to day basis where the bike ends up scaring me to such an extent that I just swear to myself that I wont get on this bike again.
When I was new to the bike, riding it was zero pleasure. Evrytime I went out on a ride I was like..."oh shit..this is gonna be a lot of work"
And a lot of work it is. Am I braking right...am I throttling well..am I sitting right etc.
You wouldnt believe but just the way you sit on this bike will change its handling. Are you sitting back in the seat ? Are you sitting near the tank ? Are you straddling the tank ? Are you ducking down behind the front cowl ? Are you sitting upright ? There are hundreds of permutations and combinations that you can try out with your torso and seating position to experiment with the handling of the bike and everytime the bike responds in a different manner. These bikes are engineering marvels indeed that make you feel like you are more of an engineer onboard it than a rider. Anything and everything you do on the bike is gonna affect it.

Fear and thrill arent mutually exclusive when it comes to riding 1000cc bikes, they go hand in hand. Your job is to constantly upgrade your riding skill so that fear starts giving way to thrill and fun. Once that starts...you truly realise what these bikes are and why you bought them in the first place.

Experiences with "not so well behaved" honda owners

                              1. One Honda owner crashed because his battery breather pipe tangled with rear wheel.

                              2. One Honda owner crashed because a dog hit his bike near Balewadi.

                              3. One Honda Owner thought that a truck was mocking him so crashed head on into it (thereby totaling his bike)

A special mention to one owner (who actually deserves to be a honda owner) crashed in the morning, came back, got bike repaired and again crashed in the afternoon.
