Hi Guys,
I attended the Motocross championship 2010 . . There was a separate Stand for TVS Apache owners . .. An entry pass was needed , which was given by Century TVS .. And there I was, in the TVS stand as me being a " Privileged Apache Customer
" . They served some complementary snacks , caps and masks( it was dusty out there) . One nice gesture by TVS racing, they had a separate, covered parking for RTR bikes , and they offered free polishing , of course, i availed it .
Watching the bikes in action was a delight. I wasnt present for the entire event, I went there, late. I saw a few races, out of which the last one , 250cc class, was just amazing to watch . There was a 250cc kawasaki, 250cc yam, and 250cc suzuki, and 2 250cc RTRs.The battle for 1st and 2nd pos was really, awesome 1st and 2nd position were grabbed by TVS racing .
Here are few pics ..

Guys, are you aware of -RSRSYamaha Safe Riding ScienceIndia
An initiative by Yamaha India to teach safe riding practices to all riders to be held at Old Police commissioner ground, Khadki on 18th & 19th December 2010.
Yamaha will provide their own specially designed bikes to the riders. Boots and trousers are compulsory.
(only catch is that it is for riders of age between 8 & 13; though I am sure most of us will be accepted looking at our normal behavior)
Enjoy

Sid, you have to understand that most of the software guys have holiday on Saturday and Sunday. They are not used to paying for internet connection so naturally the thread dies down every week end.

Does anyone know about this?Originally posted by CountRock View PostThats good news! Sorry to say! but the ride from Pune was bad! few things I noted!
- There was no group briefing before the ride started, telling the riders how to maintain formation, basic hand signals, maintain speed and safe distance, who will lead, who will be the drag, what would be the average speed, etc. etc.
- The TATA Safari coming along should was stayed right at the end! after the last rider and not overtake us all the time! Almost ran over a couple of riders due to one guy riding like a Ahole! (more on this later). This will help if any riders have a crash or have some kind of failure.
- There was a guy on a Blue R15 with a blue Yamaha jacket who almost got me and few others killed a couple of times! This guy was over taking everyone like a idiot! then tried to take out his camera with both hand off the handle bar, slowing down without warning!(The R15 slows down quite hard when you go off the throttle completely at high speed/rpm) attempting a take pictures with one hand! putting the camera back! he did this alteast 3-4 times! I think he stopped after I gave him the finger 2-3 times! Also told him after we reached our destination.
I think much more discipline is required for group riding! Since some people were not part of xbhp! the group briefing is all the more important!Never argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and then beat you with experience.

Posting it here as well
There were only 5 Pune xBhp members including me with the whole group that came from Pune side other than the Ducati riders and all the Pune xBhp members were at the back end of the group. I myself went ahead to click pictures of the group but couldn't do so as everyone was coming in pairs of 2-3Originally posted by CountRock View PostThats good news! There were multiple groups in that group so please come on a regular Pune group ride and you will know that the formation ride of Pune chapter is not that bad. Infact its as good as other xBhp groups
.
And while coming back we all were together riding in a formation.

And Its bit difficult to brief all the people who belong to other groups. Please dont ask why how..and why not.Its a very practical situation and we all know about it.

recovering from crash
hi everyone, it seems my bike was not ready to go for kaas or for the ducati meet as i met with the most weird accident on Saturday in Balewadi while returning from motocafe late nigh around 11 pm, where a dog came from somewhere and got stuck in my rear wheel and i did a mistake of panic braking resulting in the rear part lifted up to a 45% angle and leading to a bad skid where i was landed on my face but thanks to my stars that i had wore my cross helmet which took the entire impact and saved me from any major injuries, though i have suffered some bruises in my both hand knuckle and my right knee which will take a time of week for recovery.

Ther are many Castrol Bike Zones in Pune. Depends upon the proximity from your home.
I have a pretty decent experience with the one just beside Sancheti Hospital for my Pulsar 150.
Better than Bajaj SVCs for sure..!

Was TenHut present on the Ducati meet...
2002 - Pulsar 150 Classic (Still owned)
2005 - Pulsar 150 Dtsi (Still owned)
