  • Hi!,

The honda service centre in chinchwad, Pune (Sterling) is refusing to put Motul oil. The owner was also totally rude about it. Is there a good mechanic/ dealer who would put Motul oil for me and change my oil filter
for my CBR 250R. I have a spare filter with me. Need urgent help!

Yes, that seems to be a very good explanation, thanks!
I guess one way to actually check it out will be to find a way to increase my speed while ensuring that the front stays fairly loaded. Hmm.. maybe I can check it out on a fairly steep decline. I know of one such road in my hometown Mysore, but none here. I guess I'll have to scout around

          3. Hold the tip of a screw driver very near but not touching the rim.
          4. If it touches rim only at certain spots, you have found a slightly bent rim.
          5. There is no cure for such a small bend. So either leave with it or replace.
This is one thing I do pretty often as I'm paranoid of bent rims. As I mentioned in the post, my rim has had a tiny bend before AND after the Hyd trip.
As you suggested, I'll just have to live with it, or find enough cash to replace it.

I was pretty bummed about the tyre being the culprit. It is less than a year old, and looks in good condition. It's a pity I screwed it up

          Anyway, thanks a lot!

                Hello there
As per the Honda Service manual They (any ASC) is authorised to change Engine oil brand other than the specified Brand (i.e Honda FS).
So being rude was but natural for them, if there is any issue with your bike in future they will point a finger at you (or Vice versa if they had agreed upon for the oil change)
Better to stick with Honda Brand FS oil.

When this happend to my RTR last month, it turned out that the front wheel bearing had developed a play.

Try this- 1. Place the bike on center stand. 2. lift the front wheel to keep it in air. 3. Now try moving the wheel sideways 4. If you notice slight KUT KUT sound you might be sitting on damaged bearings.

Edit: My wobble was felt around 10-30 KMPH

Very Imp to those who make way towards Lavasa:
If riders want Lavasa route to be available in future, We think Riders need to stop riding there for a little while, and most importantly, Stop f@*^ing up the 'Villagers' and Lavasa Security's happiness....
You crash into a villager, may be his family's income is halted till he recovers ,why wouldn't they bash the next rider they see..
tc, avoid lavasa fr few days.

lots of incidents involving bikers, including crashing into villagers. Last time we went there we were'nt allowed to enter inside lavasa as we were geared.
Now it seems they ask bikers to head back by 8am or else they would call the cops.

Yes. You can get it re-punched. I had got it done around a decade back. What kind of info do you want?
