    @all

Can anybody help me with the place where I can get a puncture kit for tubeless tyres. And also educate me on how does it work...
My 220 is running a few miligrams heavy for quite sometime now coz of a cruel nail on the rear tyre...!
Add me to the irony list I was also down this week, due to which the Pune Mumbai shuttle was canned this week

    1) Identify the nail
    2) Pluck out the nail
    3) Use the given tool to make a nice 'straight' round hole (yes you read it right)
    4) Throw\mount the "patch" a gooey rubber peice on the tweezer
    5) Pluck the Tweezer in with the patch in that 'puncture'
    6) Hold the end of the tweezer and quickly pull it out ensuring the patch remains in

Hold it for some second, spray some water to check for bubbles.... fill air and get going!

    anyone willing to help ?
I would have happily helped riding alongside, but I will be in another part of India then!

    The route is simple
Pune > *avoid expressway* Lonavala *avoid expressway* > Khandala > take expressway > take khopoli bypass > go straight on to Panvel road > Avoid Panvel City road, Take JNPT bypass > chit chat with cops > Take Left to Panvel > Straigh to Vashi > Decided where do you want to go in Mumbai.... cause you are already in Navi Mumbai now!

This might help.... Pune to Mumbai shuttle | Author [email protected] | free Mobile GPS Tracking Service

Depending upon your start time from B'lore I think you would be able to cover around 300 kms from B'lore. Also 200 kms after b'lore starts the bad/under construction streatch for next 100 kms.
I would suggest you to stay at Haveri, Devengere.Just confirm about accomodation availiblity by Bangaloriens as they are regular on this route.

Don''t bother about the left 700 kms(approx) because the roads are just perfect for ripping. You can easily maintain very high speeds.

I dont know about u guys but when i see such heavy weight champion tourers letting out priceless advices, I feel thankful for their existence. I am planning to do this same trip just the other way round and I feel assured to have such advices coming in from those who arse themselves to explain the roads from their very own travel diaries.

though I had not asked the question, thank u tourer_kashif and thank u HydroXidE

And if that is a secret and confidential then why will they share it with us.

Stories of Misal Pav. That is one thing which I always have whenever I tour in Maharashtra but luckily I never experienced bad stomach till date.

Roads till nelamangala are bad, forgot to mention.
If you can make it to Hubli its very good.i was doing a pessimestic estimation.
Roads between c'durga and haveri are really unpredictable at times...smooth straight streach of 1-2 kms followed by sudden offroad of 100 mts.so be careful.

Here I can surely help you out...I stayed at Ranibennur...its around 300(+/-)kms from bangalore...Its a nice li'l town...You will find some decent hotels on the highway itself...Cost me 300 bux for a Non-A/C room...Double-bed(all single beds were full),TV,Atatched Lat-Bath

Edit : If you start at 1300hrs from Bangalore you should hit this town by 18:30hrs max...1st 200kms is breeze...cover it in 3 hours max(I did on a RTR so guess you would be faster on the 220)...Next, 100kays consist of bad, very bad and no-roads...keep an eye for pot-holes and diversions...they are in plenty...so, should take you around 2-3 hours for this patch...And from here Pune is 560 kms and around 140kays more for mumbai...

I hate it when ppl give me unwanted advices. So you are prolly gonna hate mine too. But if you aint telling your parents about it do make sure that your close ones ( friends, girlfriends ) know about your whereabouts and your entire schedule. Carry a note with all the imp phone nos on it, shove that note in your wallet or pocket, and if you ask me do take the effort of titling it as : in case of accident please call the following :

It may all sound like overkill to you but ur stars will thank you for doing it.
