Guys,
With MOTOGP 2013 season started with a bang last week, this season promises to be interesting one. I've the Qatar race replay available [This is BBCsports version of Qatar race which gives a lot of insights about the riders,teams etc. whereas we get only the Race via ESPN . A must watch!! ]. Maybe we should organize a 'dekho' over some G2Gs for everyone to watch together. There's nothing like watching these things with like-minded people. What say... NV, others??

PS-These are 1hr30mins. race video, can be accommodated in G2G I think.
PPS-We will have to think about the logistics also. There's no more TMC where we could watch this at ease. Options anyone???

Hi there.

I am training my wife to ride a bike to the level where she can ride her own steed in our NE trip next year. Any recommendations of varied terrain about 50 odd kms in a radius around Pune would be welcome. She rides my Pulsar 150 Classic reasonably well, just needs skill refinement on some off-road stuff.

As few of you are aware, I am being away from Pune for a very long time now and my bikes eating dust..(not literally)... I have put on my bike on sale ... please spread the word and heres the link for the classified I have put on in here. Hope to get this deal done sooner.

Hey folks!
Our group of 4 bikes completed a trip yesterday. We did Pune-Viramgam-Dholavira(Greater Rann)-Mount Abu-Anand-Pune in four days. It was brilliant! The great Rann of Kutch lived up to its reputation, and the famed roads of Gujarat did not disappoint. We threw mount abu in for some respite from straight roads, and the final concoction turned out to be intoxicating!
If anyone wants any updates on roads or routes towards Gujarat and the Rann, please PM. I'll try and finish the log soon, and put it up.

My occupation is such that if I keep changing the regn numbers, I will drive the RTO chaps in a dozen states crazy! For me....

You can take a NOC from pune and show it to karnataka RTO office and pay the road tax for 6 months as that case you wont need to change your number and other things. They would need your bikes insurance and PUC certificate and the RC card.

Hello everyone! Lots has happened since my last post.. I am now working in Mumbai, the bike has crossed 40k (rather happily too) and I have acquired an unused Eurogrip tire which is stock rear on the P200NS. I also happen to not need this tire ATM so am selling it off.

If you own a P200NS or know someone who does or would like to try this tire on your bike do send me an e-mail on [email protected].
The tire is 130/70-17 Tubeless so the profile will most likely be very round if you don't own a P200NS but this doesn't cause any problems AFAIK.
Not so good grip when cold but amazing when warmed up (as it is with most tires).

That is exactly why I have had my eyes on your CBR for the past few months
But I might wait for a couple of years. I'm leaving Pune in a couple of months and moving to XLRI, Jamshedpur to do my MBA. Though I would love to have a bike to explore East and North East India from there, I dont think I'll have the time, at least in the first year of my course. The plan is to pass out in 2015, and buy a good 650 soon after I start earning again

I would like to know, has anybody transferred the vehicle to Bangalore for similar period & do we need to carry NOC or pay road tax in Karnataka.

Actually, you are allowed to ride/ drive your MH registered vehicle in Karnataka upto a period of 6 months without getting into NoC and road tax business. You should be able to prove that it has been less than or equal to 6 months that you have got your vehicle in Karnataka (e.g. PUC, petrol bill from Maharashtra). I have transferred my car from Pune to Bangalore almost 2 years back but still am continuing with MH registration.

if you are gonna be in Bangalore only for a few months then i'd suggest you get a few of hand written reciepts from a petrol pump and ask the attendant not to write the date on it.
any time cops stop you in bangalore just take out a reciept and write a date of about a week back on the reciept.
This way you dont get hassled much by the cops and can avoid a trip to the RTO too
