While I do agree with most things here, but I dont know if its right or not... I dont 'always' use guard, except when I am riding in rains or riding for long.... else I am perpetually geared even if its a short ride to the highway, or my office commute!Originally posted by inder.cool View PostNot every point is being followed man in the riding gear part..
Yup, there was an incident which led to this...cant really discuss abt it though here.
Whenever I DONT use the Knee guards, I use a decent Denim to protect me... if you can allow a wind cheater as a substitue to a riding jacket, I dont see why xBHP cant allow a rider without knee guards if they choose to wear denims!
Anyway, if you guys still dont allow it... then Ritwik, ahoy! I need cheap Knee guards...

Inder, Can we stick this post to the first post of this forum so that new riders can read and adhere to it before volunteering in...!Originally posted by inder.cool View PostImportant Notice:
As was discussed in the meeting yesterday, pls. find below some of the important points to be followed in each of members attending the Pune xBhp rides.
1) Proper Riding gear:- Helmet - ISI, ECE, DOT approved.
- Jacket - Preferable riding jacket, if no then a wind-cheater is mandatory.
- Knee + elbow guards
- Gloves - Preferably the armoured ones.
- Proper Shoes - no slippers or sandals.
Note: If anybody is not wearing any of the above the same would be sent back to get the same.
Note: If anybody is looking out for riding gear then all those who require any specific riding gear can place a collective order so that Ritwik can help in availing discounts.
NV would be posting the format for the same soon.
2) Important bike documents:
- Valid Insurance certificate/policy.
- Valid driving license.
- Valid PUC.
Note: If anybody is not having any of the above documents then he would be sent back to get the same.
All these points are to be checked physically checked by the initiator of the ride or by Myself/NV/Ritwik/Sagar.
If these are not adhered to by ANY of the members, then it may lead to expulsion of that member from the group.
Sorry for taking such harsh steps this time, but everyone should understand that its for their own good and safety.
Regards,
Inder.

cant nod my head to wht u say..Originally posted by satyenpoojary View PostIf thats the case then its kinda ridiculous... arent Shoulders, Back important?
from my personal experience i would say that i have got 90% of my denims torn n a few stitches on my knee coz of not wearing a knee gaurd. the fact is u hurt ur knee n elbows first, even if its a minor fall....
n a rider jacket is supposed to dig a big hole in ur pocket when compared to a knee guard so for immediate investment i'll go for a set of knee-elbow guards....

There are a lot of ppl who really cant afford/not in a shape to acquire proper riding gear at this moment. Since these knee+elbow guards combined does not retail at high prices..so atleast at this moment they can atleast have something for protection.Originally posted by satyenpoojary View PostIf thats the case then its kinda ridiculous... arent Shoulders, Back important?
