It is really sad that some bikers had resorted to such sorts. It is horrifying that a person do such crimes even to anyone let alone their fellow bikers. Their, the criminals, names should be published all across the XBhp forum, so that wherever they go, the XBhp members ban them right away. And I wish the best for the victim. The image of us, the bikers, is tarnished because of this ghastly incident. Banning the criminals should be the only way out.

I was searching for this thread to ask about the next GTG, so that I can join as my first of any such GTG and also as the latest member of the group. But reading about this incident really shook me.

Brother it was my first G2G as well. What happend was sad and was a one time incident. Sometimes in the heat of the moment the best of us make mistakes. Dont let that prevent you from coming. Hope to see you soon in one of the meets

I am happy that at least an amicable conclusion has been found for the matter.
As I said earlier, it is totally the victim's call whether to take this matter further and I am happy that he has been so forgiving in such a situation.

@NV/ Vishwas please do post about the ride well in advance so even I can join in and see our brotherhood blossoming again after this minor setback.

This indeed is a black spot on our biking community and has set a very bad example for newbies. But we should not let this incident overshadow our bonding and deter any newbie from joining. We are bigger than this and there are numerous examples where we have excelled as a coherent group like rides , dhaba g2g bike related queries or usual bakar.
I request all the new and senior members , do not let this one incident hamper the spirit and keep revving together.

Ps NV chaccha. Are you planning a secret ride without me? Bas yahi dosti. :'(

Many of you have supported the action taken by us against the offenders and we welcome this gesture. It surely does make us feel that we stand united against such incidents.
However, yesterday, a few of us discussed this during the day and we arrived at a conclusion that this incident must have a logical end. We spoke to both the sides and found that they were extremely apologetic for what had happened. The victim was apologetic for having dragged something the wrong way and the other side was apologetic for the actions that followed. And so, we attempted to get both the sides from yesterday’s incident together and ensure that there would be no further escalation of tensions and repercussions of the incident.
We met and both the sides apologized to each other with an assurance that such incidents will not happen again.
There is no denying the fact that the physical abuse is unpardonable. However, the heat of the moment takes the better of most, distorts judgment and impales rationality. With this, we are closing this chapter and have decided to not reveal the names from both the sides. This incident comes to a closure with a warning to all and sundry that any such incidents will invite a permanent ban from the group for both the sides without any scope for discussion/negotiation.
The Pune group commits itself to continual improvement of camaraderie and harmony amongst its members. A ride plan to be announced soon…stay tuned.

That's sounding a positive solution to this temporary issue. Let's plan a GTG and ride quickly to cheer up the moods of all.

LS2 helmets in India

LS2 helmets in India-

I was searching around for a decent helmet with international certification (for a friend). He settled on LS2. However, while snooping around the website, something did not feel right. So I started digging.

Please observe one funny thing in the website -LS2 Helmets, contact of Laxmi Automobiles is mentioned but if you click on the shops tab of the site, even the country 'India' is not listed. How is that possible?

All guys who believe that www.ls2helmets.in is company owned website, please see this - ls2helmets.in Whois Lookup & IP | Whois.net.

You can get confirmation that this website is owned by Mr. Anil Gupta of 376/377 nana peth pune 411002. It is the address of Laxmi Auto. It is NOT a website of company.

Link to LS2 Philippines show you an address of Spain as local contact :-)


This is the original company's website. http://www.mhrhelmet.com/index.asp They manufacture two brands - LS2 & MHR.

Their 'Network' page does not show any presence in India. -Jiangmen Pengcheng HELMETS LTD. ???????????

Now decide whether the LS2 helmets available in India are genuine or not.

G2G this Wednesday 2.4.2014


Time : 8.30 onwards


New Location : Coffee shop next to Yamaha Factory Shop, Wakdewadi on Old Pune-Mumbai Highway. This location is opposite KTM wakdewadi showroom.


No... I am not talking about Coffee shop located next to Rajyog Hall. This is a Pavbhaji stall located on main highway next to YFS.


This is a trial. If everyone feels that this suits our requirement, we can hold future G2G at this location.

No matter how much I wish to come for a g2g, i just don't get the time. I consider myself lucky enough to have done a total of four 500+ km rides, all before my IT job in Pune started. And the first one of them, is special.

I've penned it down for Wrangler's "Search for True Wanderer", a contest designed to encourage everybody interested in motorcycle touring. The stories on this contest are judged on the basis of
1. Expression
2. Adventure Quotient
3. Inspiration Factor
4. Photography
5. Public Voting

Unfortunately, since I don't have a camera, I don't really have photographs, and the story is purely a mix of motorcycling and words. I joined xBHP a few days back and have been following all the posts ever since.
Was really disappointed to read about the developments over the past few days. All I would like to say is that I have been reading all posts on the Pune thread and i know the amount of importance the senior guys put over ethical and safe riding. It is reiterated on almost every post.
Hence one such incident is nothing but a small blemish which should not effect your enthusiasm. Newbies like me still would like to participate in offline GTG's and all the bike rides organised by you guys.
