An update from the injured victim: He received a kick on the spine where he was earlier operated on. One on the neck where his spine sac was already dislocated, on the skull which is still under shock. His left arm is painful, has muscle spasms in the neck and pelvis which is affecting the movement of his hands and legs and his jaw hurts.

This is really disgusting! My wishes for the poor guy.. He should go ahead and file a complaint with the police!
Ya we would want the names of all those offenders and let us ban them permanently.

Yes, we shall be sharing the names of the offenders in some time. The name of the victim will not be revealed on public forum at least.

In last so many years we all rode together trusting each other, respecting and had loads of fun.
Let it be g2g or ride or just casual meet aka unofficial g2g but we never had such fights, and i think if people who are gonna create fight and break the respect we have earned all over p[une city should be kicked out as me personally as a rider would never want such a thing to happen, as g2g is one place where even if we dont come for weekend rides, we get to know so much and are happy meeting one of our kind species frankly, which we dont get in our office and all.

So resorting to such barbarism is not expected and i pray for my friend ( the victim) to recover soon as i know he has gone through serious injuries earlier too.

It is really sad that some bikers had resorted to such sorts. It is horrifying that a person do such crimes even to anyone let alone their fellow bikers. Their, the criminals, names should be published all across the XBhp forum, so that wherever they go, the XBhp members ban them right away. And I wish the best for the victim. The image of us, the bikers, is tarnished because of this ghastly incident. Banning the criminals should be the only way out.

I was searching for this thread to ask about the next GTG, so that I can join as my first of any such GTG and also as the latest member of the group. But reading about this incident really shook me.

What happened is really sad and should not be overlooked. The culprits should be taught a lesson by banning them from the biking brotherhood.

That said, I would also like to say that such miscreants should not dent our riding spirit. I have read few posts showing reluctance of coming to future g2gs. But hey, ours is an infallible spirit that though a bit shaken, still stands tall!

So let's get together in a larger group now.spend more time discussing safety, unity and brotherhood. Crack few jokes, share biking trips and be back on track! That's what we bikers do right!:thumbup:

Sorry for that post of mine. It does sound like showing reluctance of coming to future GTGs. But, curse my slow VPN connection from office. You already posted before I could make the correction. But let's ban those criminals first from every biking brotherhood and not only XBhp.

Yes, we should plan a GTG, as that will be my first and am really looking forward to it, and yes I am particularly interested in discssing about safety, unity, sharing biking trips, future ride plans and brotherhood and most importantly, cracking jokes.

although he should be banned from xbhp permanently, just banning alone is not sufficient.

we must make sure that he understands that such acts can have legal implications and must file and FIR.

Many of you have supported the action taken by us against the offenders and we welcome this gesture. It surely does make us feel that we stand united against such incidents.

However, yesterday, a few of us discussed this during the day and we arrived at a conclusion that this incident must have a logical end. We spoke to both the sides and found that they were extremely apologetic for what had happened. The victim was apologetic for having dragged something the wrong way and the other side was apologetic for the actions that followed. And so, we attempted to get both the sides from yesterday’s incident together and ensure that there would be no further escalation of tensions and repercussions of the incident.

We met and both the sides apologized to each other with an assurance that such incidents will not happen again.

There is no denying the fact that the physical abuse is unpardonable. However, the heat of the moment takes the better of most, distorts judgment and impales rationality. With this, we are closing this chapter and have decided to not reveal the names from both the sides. This incident comes to a closure with a warning to all and sundry that any such incidents will invite a permanent ban from the group for both the sides without any scope for discussion/negotiation.

The Pune group commits itself to continual improvement of camaraderie and harmony amongst its members. A ride plan to be announced soon…stay tuned.

Please understand that whatever disagreements you may have with others, there is always a solution which can be worked out. Please remember that biking brotherhood will help you in any part of the world any time where all other resources may fail. Keep the spirit alive.
