I'm confirmed for tonight's meet.

@All-This thread sometimes goes haywire. Many Pune members and other moderators have showed their concern about the current status of this thread. Last 3-4 pages are fairly ok but there are many occasions when a topic is unnecessarily pulled to death. We are ok with the small jokes here and there and without which any offline G2G thread becomes very boring but we all should know where to draw the line.

^^Just a small request to everyone from the 'Moderator Team' who are using this thread.

@Kashif: Good you too safe man. Take one small advice from me (learnt from my own experiences)
Never stand or even ride behind, beside or near a truck/bus/trailer.

Add the great Auto-rickshaw wala's to the list....today when i was waiting at a redlight behind a car...suddenly god knows from where an auto-rickshaw came and dashed me on my left.......my gloves saved my fingers just escaped with minor rashes on the elbow....the great auto drivers of the city feel as if they are driving on the F1 track...even in full-on traffic they try and squeez their rickshaws even where there's no place for a bike to enter........the driver started abusing me even when it was his mistake saying that cant you see the rickshaw coming........

Anyways....hope you guys had a blast today.... waiting for the pics...paaji...

It was fantastic meeting all you people yesterday... Rishabh, Rohit, Rahul, MG, Inder, Satyen sir, Sagar, Praveen, Shrinath, MG, Ritwik, Ram, Ankit(Just trying to remember all the names) Sorry if I missed somebody

Thanks Vishwas, for the parking and keeping my jacket n stuff.. aah of course also for the ride on your Ninja It would have been really difficult for me to roam around in the city with that heavy stuff carrying around

@ Sagar, sorry man.. I didn't stay for the night and chose to ride back home. Your concern was valid. It was too late n not that safe to ride. I talked to Satyen bout the stay and he was cool with it. But because I was roaming the entire day and that too in so much heat, I needed a bath n fresh pair of clothes very badly. Also even if I had started at 5.30am today, I would have had to tackle the 8.30am traffic and it's

Well am mostly out of any rides for the time being.. but looking at yesterday's discussion.. here's what I can suggest!

Like you all discussed yesterday, for Tenhut and people who haven't been to Mahab yet,

You can ride to MahaB. Route of course everyone knows NH4 and so on. Mahab ghat is again very nice for corner junkies...

And for those who haven't tried the NH17 yet.

1) Ride to Goa and you'll get to enjoy the entire NH17 patch. Again use the same route. Ride on NH4 and hit the NH17 at Poladpur. Just as you take the left turn towards Goa, the Kashedi Ghat starts. Awesome for cornering. Go on till Goa.

A bit shorter ones..

2) Hit NH17 near Poladpur. Corner hard in Kashedi ghat. Once the ghat ends there's a long ~20 kms patch. Absolutely straight. Good for high speed cruising. Reach Khed.

a) Have lunch at some good Hotel, chill out for sometime and head back.(If your aim was to enjoy only the Kashedi ghat)

b) Take the right turn towards Harnai beach. Enjoy the beach and head back in the evening.

3) Hit NH17 at Poladpur via MahaB. Ride through Kashedi. Enjoy the straight patch till Khed. Ride on and enjoy another awesome ghat with superb corners. Parshuram Ghat before Chiplun.
Once the ghat ends, take right turn towards Guhagar, Hedvi etc. Trust me, the 56 kms patch till Guhagar is paradise for bikers. A bit narrow but superb corners. Enjoy the Guhagar beach, chill out, stay for the night/ride back the same day.

4) Ride to Ganpatipule and you'll get couple of more ghats on the way. Stay there and enjoy!

There are plenty of destinations on NH17 but just listed a few which we discussed yesterday.

PS: I know it's too hot these days and people are not interested to ride at all but since some people were fine with the heat issues I suggested the above rides
