Well tbh I don't know the exact number of people who have successfully completed AND got their rides certified. I know a couple of names who have done it before and are certified namely Kaushal & Dr... But am pretty it's not more than 4-5 people. I mean there are a lot of people who claim they have completed it successfully but they aint certified. Collecting all the correct documents while racing against time, is what makes ithe ride tougher. That's the fun part of it. I salute those who claim they've completed it but I respect those who are certified.

@Inder: make sure Pune guys follow these riding protocals.

Mumbai-Pune MEGA g2g + SBK'ers Meet

Certain Protocals to be followed very strictly during this ride:

1) No gear, NO RIDE.
2) No ripping or racing around SBKs.
3) No bothering SBK'ers. (specially to ask the mileage)
4) No STUNTING at any cost.
5) Everyone will be behind the Leader, NO OVERTAKING.
6) People not following this may possibly get permanent BAN from xbhp, I'll personally request to Mods for the one not following these safety measures, BEWARE.


I am in constant touch with a few members of the SBK group & they are a lil suspicious about riding with us & also are concerned that we may bring some lunatic riders who maybe trouble for the ride.
I'v assured them that we follow the best safety rules among all groups (that we actually do) so I want it to be nice, safe & hence strict.

NO GEAR, NO RIDE...
Knee guards : compulsory
full face Helmet : compulsory
Elbow guard / Riding jacket / Thick jacket : compulsory (any one of these)
Shoes : compulsory
Full length Denims : compulsory

Absolutely...I am sweating out here trying to convince the COPS members to join me in for this xBHP ride and the above scenario is being the biggest worry for most of them. The thing is..just like we always got some noobs on smaller cc bikes we got noobs on SBKs too. Some of them have jumped from a CBZ directly to Busa behemoths and have been riding it since few weeks only. So with decreased comfort levels and in these stages of infancy, which btw every single rider has to go through, or so I think, people are really paranoid about smaller bikes zipping past them in corners way too close.

None of the SBKs will be cornering and hence will be really slow in the corners which may result in some frustration to the smaller bikes.

I must admit however..the bigger challenge is to convince some of the guys to be well kitted for the ride. I wanna put it accross to them without being much of an asshole but as its turning out, with the COPS, that aint an easy task at all.
How do you counter an "I dont feel comfortable" argument? All I can say is "its a matter of habit". If you say "those are the rules" they say "Fcuk off"
LOL. Some of them are just plain thick for they pride themselves on being in Bermudas, Tank Tops and flip flops :/

Your advice almost always ends up on deaf ears, if he has gotten an SBK in his garage ! Me not liking this and its reducing my joy of riding an SBK

I dont see how this can be implemented. It would also make for a very boring ride for some. The 'no overtaking' calls for the ' bike length' distance (between two riders) to be stipulated. But that will only serve in having too many rules and complicating the affairs. So following the leader shouldnt be a mandate. Add to that, the fact that I/you/anyone should have the freedom to overtake a rider he thinks is riding rash or not really reading the turns well causing me/you/anyone to tailgate him all the time.

Those who wont follow it wont give a rats ass about a BAN ! Not being polite will only get people hostile towards us. But then I know your choice of words Spidey lol...I suggest we adopt to other ways to get our point accross.
