I guess thats because of the stupid 100hp limit. People are getting smart and saving money.Originally posted by nitrosatya View PostHello! Wassup everybody?
I would like to share somethings with you all.
I am seeing lot of bikes here. But most of them are street bikes, sport tourers and maxi scooters. Very less R series superbikes. I have seen only two CBRs till now. And one R1!
People here don't like sportsbikes. Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

Ever tried reading the name of the bike from the bike itself... trust me its as simple... except in case of a hayabusa may be, but its weird fugly enough to make a guessOriginally posted by inder.cool View Post@Satyajit/Satyen: Which bike is that!? Is it the ZX-14?
Not really, had the world evolved over 1400CCs we would have had a HUGE divide in IndiaOriginally posted by antz.bin View PostI guess thats because of the stupid 100hp limit. People are getting smart and saving money.
waise the rule also helped people know more about the machine and extract more from existing mules each and everytime too! So what happens, happens for good!

Isnt the world already evolved over 1400cc considering the harleys, the vmax, the intruder etc. and why would it matter in india.. we already have most of the range >800 cc. The 100hp rule is in france.. not in India.Originally posted by satyenpoojary View PostNot really, had the world evolved over 1400CCs we would have had a HUGE divide in India

lol corruption or not ...low rains always affect the economy..even those of first world countries..I was just being a dickheadOriginally posted by satyenpoojary View PostBad Rains = Low Crops = Low Money in politicians\bureaucrats wallet to make better roads..
I hate rains !
I am 6ft tall. Other than that I am not big in any sense..a pauper to the core and I am perenially unemployed !Originally posted by JitenMistry View PostRohan (Tenhut) is a big guy
If you catch hold of a drawing I can try and fabricate the thing for you. Cannot promise though as making just one or two of those is not what my machines are made for...make everyone who has n R15 in pune adopt to the rearset footpegs and I will happily take the order
haha no bike there can be as loud as what bikes can be in India...they exercise their noise regulation laws strictly..Originally posted by nitrosatya View PostI am seeing lot of bikes here. Cheers!
Unlike in India, sportsbikes are bought by guys who frequent tracks. Not a single soul will buy it for the streets. To be honest the R series bikes are not percieved as bikes in Europe..they are more of mental track bikes which at some point in the history were almost banned on the streets in Europe. Then came this Horesepower restriction law. No one sees the point in buying a litreclass trackbike restricted to 100 HP. Why have a body full of aches when the bike is not gonna reward you with its horses.
You will also come across old bikes being used by 90% of the riders. Its the case with Automobiles too. Ppl there dont buy first hand. Depreciation on a first hand is just wayyyy to much out there. Only a guy wanting to burn money to keep himself warm in winters will buy a brand new car/bike.
Since they manintain their bikes/cars well...second hand market is the biggest market out there.
You shall however see superbikes in Paris (paris is an exception to everything and everything that gets done there gets done for style)...just go sit in any of the roadside beer bars out there and a ton of Ducatis or Aprillias, R1s and Blades will whizz past you.
The new VFR is apparently the HOT CAKE in Europe. Try and spot them on Autobahns..I saw one during my last trip, I was doing 220 in my car and this V4 madness rumbled past me making me look like a sitting duck.
VFR for president !Last edited by TenHut; 09-08-2010, 03:09 PM.sigpic

you just need to know the right places & people.
