Dirt track at Khopoli :

There will be refreshments, medical facility and insurance available for anyone dirt-tracking on the Khopoli Track. Since it is a track, your regular insurance will be no good if you happen to fall and break something there. This plan is still tentative. Will be confirmed tomorrow morning.

Anyone reaching late at Chandani Chowk, can reach directly to RK, Lonavala.



Documents
a. Valid Driving License: MUST have and carry at all times
b. Bike Registration Papers: Original or Attested Photocopy
c. Bike Tax Certificate: Original or Attested Photocopy
d. Bike Insurance: Preferably a comprehensive insurance, personal insurance would be a plus.
e. PUC Certificate: A valid PUC certificate

Safety Gear
a. Helmet: Has to be in good condition and preferably ISI/DOT certified
b. Thick Jacket/Riding Jacket: Must have inbuilt armour or external armour is also allowed
c. Gloves: Must cover vital points like knuckles and wrist. Cut/half gloves not allowed
d. Knee Guards: Either bionic or regular flex type. Should be worn inside trousers if non bionic.
e. Riding Boots/Sports Shoes/Army Boots: Anything that covers the foot well.

I did not have anything to do with arranging dirt track ride. It was antz's idea. I wanted to do it for a long long time but never got around to finding out details.

However, as you will see from updated list, I have shifted my name to tentative list because I don't want to ride ninja on a dirt track and I am not sure whether we can rent bikes there.

If you look closely, Shrinath's name is on top of the list in bold red letters denoting him as Designated leader & Sponsor.

You can confirm with Shrinath about his presence tomorrow.

We can have a 'non epic' Mumbai - Pune G2G to gather enough numbers so that a Track day is feasible for both the organisers and the host. Holding a track day there will cost us upto 10/15k per day(total for everyone not per head) so the higher the participation, the lower the cost for everyone. Also, because I mentioned about it on such short notice, the track wont be available for track day this Sunday. As per the website and as per the conversation I had with the owner, bikes are not yet available for rent but he did ask me for suggestions on what bikes he should import (I suggested KTMs ) . Dirt Rally ready Cars though are in fact available for rent. I request everyone to please Check out all the relevant information on the website and give me a list different from "Congratulations G2G" as clearly both lists wont even be remotely similar. I did not mention this earlier as I was waiting for the heavens to clear up and give us a few bright clear days so that the 'dirt track' is not 'Mud Track'. But what the hell, we might as well make ourselves a nice group beforehand and wait for the dirt-tracking season to start.

How can you imagine anything involving mumbai riders to be "NON EPIC"
