I did consider that. , but carrying the tripod from the "respective person" back home, would be a pain. . Pretty Stupid, I know.

If you're coming today Could you please bring it? Any will do. It's just for an act. Won't exactly be used for a Ride.

    • Tell Chai tapri owner to get the Tripod from his place then.. . I ll get the gloves if I happen to make it there. (I am not in Pune at the moment.. but will be back by evening)
Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

              • My First Ride : Lavasa

                17th Jan 2011

                10:00 AM:-
Picked up my friend from Pimpri and headed towards Kothrud. Also Informed Vivek of my arrival.
                11:00 AM:-
We met Vivek Jaysheel and his White RD 350 finally after I got lost on Chandni Chowk LOL... couldn't get the roads properly.
We proceeded towards Lavasa via the Chandni Chowk to Mulshi road and taking a left soon. The ghats were awesome. Firstly I thought I couldn't actually do the cornering as the RTR HE was a new and dint quite practice on it much. Anyways I soon found out that if I dint do the cornering I would eventually land on the gravels on the road side and go flying down the ghats. So I started doing the cornering slowly, which was not enough.
I was building out my heart and courage for the cornering on the unbordered ghat roads.

After the first ghat I did a cornering, and was really amazed at how the HE paced and placed itself. My friend, I think at this time was eyeing me with fear. Actually he hated it when I used to go fast or make my old Platina fly over the Speed breakers. As the series of corners followed I continued my cornering. Eventually such a period came when my knees were nearly touching the ground. I could feel my jeans over the guards touching the road. It brought my little more courage and thrill to adventure out and explore it out. (Yes my pillion was armored underneath the trousers and jacket) This time my friend nearly freaked out and shouted at me...
I had gone so low that my knees brushed the ground (yes till I returned from Lavasa my jeans (on the knees) was quite much bruised and only netty like cloth remained. I was totally on stock TVS Tyre.
That was a new skill I found out in myself n my baby... The HE.

Vivek had some work, he went off at 12:50. Saw some riders. Guess quite a few from xBhp were there. Saw a group of RE. Someone told me that they were the Road Shakers. Saw some R15s and P220s who were wheeling around on one particular red R15. Met quite a many of the RTR guys and Unicornians. Found one CBR 650r and a HD (Looked like it was RE heavily modified) whooshed past me. I was really amazed to see the Road Shakers. They were so well organized and everyone of them were going in a straight single file line. And at that time, really the roads were shaking. Finally after Learning to do Cornering, and a failed attempt by my friend to teach me Photography we came back to Pune at 7 PM. Dropped my friend at Pimpri and reached home at 11 PM.

                  • Thats true..its really good...but the roads to Lavasa were also good except for a few places all the mountain roads were in good condition and the tyre grip was much better and the bends and the turns are designed too well.

                        • Which would be the Best Route to go to Chennai?

                          The Usual NH-4, Golden Quad?
                          OR
Pune-Solapur-Bijapur-Hospet-Kadappa-Chennai? ( Not Familiar with this Route)

I'm pretty much for the NH-4 Route itself. But, if there are other options then it can be considered.

No, this is not for CSS. It's for Pondicherry Trip.

                          • NH4 to Bangalore and then onwards to Chennai is bliss. If I were you I would have it no other way. NH4 is in great shape, was there last week. A couple of diversions and stretch of single carriageway, but nothing you should worry about. I did Bangalore-Kolhapur in 6 hours last weekend.

Use NH4 without any second thoughts in your mind
The other route is in pretty bad shape.
