Never argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and then beat you with experience.

Dude..i met Inder yesterday...and it was honestly great meeting up with him after real long. Felt like my initial days at xBHP when Inder was the one who welcomed me. No Pune G2G is complete without Inder and I am not even kidding.
Inder and I already made plans when we met of decimating you and Satyen. Inder is on my side.
No peace pipe anymore. I declare war on Ma Frend Satyen and Ma Frend Vishwas.Last edited by TenHut; 11-08-2010, 06:25 PM.sigpic

Has anyone here done lavasa at night ?? It was really an awesome experience riding through that lonely roads in pitch darkness and chilly weather... We had been there before 2 weeks . . though we were not allowed inside the lavasa, the journey till the gate . . touching the 43km mark from the chandni chowk was really an achievement for us for 2 main reasons
1. With no jacket we were able to sustain the cold
2. Two of us on lonely roads(It is a scary experience) also when its unplanned and doing it for the first time i.e totally unaware of the roads and the enviroinment.
If anyone's interested may be we can have a similar small ride
P.S The pavbhaji and the coffee we had the the small outlet also added to the perfect ending of the rideInto hibernation mode .

Happy Diwali to everyone!
Sad to hear about it buddyOriginally posted by Sharan_R View PostA Small incident I want to share...
I was caught by the Highway Police near Satara for overspeeding. Yes, I was doing around 105Kmph or so. Agreed. I saw them with the Speedguns and slowed down immediately
and in the next 200m the cops were standing greedily looking at me and asked me to Pull ove. They showed I was doing 118kmph
, and I was definitely not doing above 110kmph ( Speedo Indicated, that too) and he was showing me 118kmph? I said, that's not possible and told him, I must be above 100Kmph but surely not at not HIS speed. He asked me to shut up and that I might be stunting( Yes, I was going to perfrom a High chair wheelie or Flamingoes till Pune on the NH4.
) and pay up the fine. He said Rs 500, I somehow spoke to them in Marathi and told them about my Ignorance and accepted my fault and Gave him Rs 100 which went in his Pocket.
The thing is, are we Motorcyclists easier targets? While I was talking to him and on my Way back before being caught I saw the "Usual" Scorpios/Lauras doing well over 130Kmph. I didn't see a car being pulled over. I was there with the Cops for well over 30 Mins, and saw cars OVERSPEEDING..
I agree it's my fault if it's overspeeding. I'm ready to pay the Fine, if blamed Rightly!!! But...
.
I guess it is difficult for them to stop the cars.. and if they dont stop bikes, how do they make thr money?
Plus, showing that you wear gear means that you usually want to keep ur hands clean (I guess its a psychological thing) of anything incorrect and this gives them more confidence (as if they ever lacked any) to fleece u. I dont think I was very clear in my last sentence but I hope u get the drift.
Also, wearing gear is not common and u can be mistaken for a stunter. I once was returning from a trip to someplace and walked in to a TVS showroom wearing only jacket, helmet and gloves as protective gear and the guy in-charge of the place asked me "Stunting karte hain kya aap?"
Its just the mindset
.. nothing can be done till wearing gear becomes common.
Also, for cops, stunting = riding cool looking full faired bikes with gear on; not doing high chairs and flamingoes. Fact.

Yes dude, I have been to Lavasa at nights. Its an experience where words fall short. Don't know why you weren't allowed inside the gates, but that is actually the best part of ride. With the streetlights fully lit, the fog, the moist roads and the reflections of lights on the lake waters, its just amazing!! We can surely have a night ride to Lavasa. With the winter now approaching, it should be more beautiful!!Originally posted by kartikpai View PostHas anyone here done lavasa at night ??
