What bout fuel? I mean 2 stroke bikes need some 2T oil or something with every refueling.. Am not sure but this can also be an issue as well..

2T oil is usually easily available... comes in both premix as well as handy sachets... I guess he could use that!

        • It's raining/drizzling in Mumbai since last 2-3 days. Heard it rained heavily in Satara/Sangli region in past 2 days. Rain and wet roads affect the overall speed of the journey drastically. So those leaving for rides tomorrow/Saturday please confirm and take the decision accordingly.

^^^ One more Caution: Speedo cable/mechanism tend to malfunction or goes kaput sometimes at high speed rides. Please ensure your's is in very good maintainance. If possible carry spare speedo gear/cable for safety to avoid adversities.

            • Hey Folks,
Thank you all for all the support and guidance. It is an honour to be a part of this group full of enthusiastic bikersThere is a reason behind every action, and probably many would probably find mine to be foolish. Its a mix of passion and love so I dont wanna get into it now
It is an attempt and I will ride hard enough to come as close as possible to the finish line.
Many people have asked me these questions
Why the RX? The RX has been my first bike, Love, wife, whatever you could think of close to my heart. It has never let me down on any rides and has functioned even with a broken clutch cable for 60Kms before I could change it for her.
I have ripped her at 105kmph for over an hour and no side effectsFor the last two and a half days, my mech (who is the only mech to work on it for the last 7years) has been working on her to be more reliable, change of clutch plates, front fork seals, break liners, cleaning the chain, sprokets, wheel bearings, etc in diesel (He is one his way to my place with the bike)
To add, I have installed a NGK Iridium plug and would be carring the stock as spare. For the first time I have used Motul 800 2T Road racer Fully synth side box oil along with Yamaha Lube. So she is ready
All the saddlesores I have come across are 150+cc (NOM to anyone) and the experience shared is mind blowing. It felt like as if I was riding with them. The best log I had ever read was Ketan's and I wish I ride with the same spirit and focus like him.
Though I may not complete it in time (worst case senario) at least it would be the first of the 100CC's to attempt the same.
Why not the Fazer: That baby is already well established as a tourer. Also people have made it safely and well in time. My dream is to do a Leh, Ladak and Spiti trip on her provided all goes well for me in the future.
This is my last post here for today as I leave in a few hrs from now so gotta go thru my checklist.
Hope to meet you guys soon.
Till then I will ride with the devil for now.
              Cheers!

The average speed required if he does not stop at all is 1700/24= 70.85 kmph.. I will upload the excell sheet soon.. If the rider stops for about 15 mins every 3 hrs, and half an hour for two breaks, takes rest for 1 hr, he will need to maintain atleast 85kmph as the average speed.. I have just put the distance travelled , average speed every hour in one column, distance remai ning after every hour etc etc.. And at the end of that sheet, the rider has an hour spare.. This sheet is purely theoretical.. Most riders maintain better speeds..

Hahaha..my question was only pertaining to the spreadsheet he had uploaded.

Hope to make it back in one piece.
hey dude all the best for the attempt, make sure your headlights are powerful enough that you can see the road quiet clear in dark or you can attempt a saddle sore on a full moon night as that can be a plus point for you.
