Your bike is still in run-in period and has clocked less than 1000 km so honestly I do not know how the service engineers can mess it up.Originally posted by utsavchs View PostAnyone knows a good R-type tuner guy in Pune? The Showroom servicemen fked up my bike. Hopeless pickup to Apache RTR HyperEDGE 160. Low on top end and high end!! I am fedup with Rushabh Automobiles.
I suggest you do not take it to any other tuner / mechanic as of now. Sit with service centre guys and don't leave till all problems are sorted out.
Alternatively, ask someone else with similar bike to try your bike and confirm the problems you are facing. So at least you can confirm that the problems actually DO exist.Never argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and then beat you with experience.

As of now, I will follow Vishwasji ...
Problems I came across with.. Exceptional reduction in Torque i.e. lower end. The sound of the exhaust is far more than the actual performance. A little high higher end (might be of the piston getting free) 111kmph (couldn't test more as ran out of road), highly reduced throttle response.
ROCKRZ I need your number cellphone number..
Any plans for a Ride this Sunday? I need a pair of gloves, as most possibly if not going anywhere then I would be atleast taking down few hundred kms.. (I just remembered about petrol)..I have to..got to...need to .. finish the 1000 mark ASAP!!....Riding the Indian Monster : 200NS....

+1 to what vishwas said, see your engine needs to run particular kilometers before freeing up, keep her running slow, I would recommend you use within city till the first service is done, Please keep a check under what rpm you need to keep her by having a word with your SVC official person. And i dont understand in 111 kms why you took your bike to svc center normally its in first service.Originally posted by trustvishwas View PostYour bike is still in run-in period and has clocked less than 1000 km so honestly I do not know how the service engineers can mess it up.

Ideally, you should abide to the running in guidelines mentioned in your manual... (though I know how difficult it is to keep your right wrist in control). It should help in the long run. There are people who do not believe in the running-in funda as well, so you are not amongst the rare lot!!
+ for a Rtr, 111kph (where u ran out of road - so, im assuming you had some rpms left to be utilized) within 1000kms of usage should be fairly satisfactory!
How much did you want to take your bike upto btw???
Let your bike open up gradually... it helps
111 kms or kmph??Originally posted by shrinathrao View Post+1 to what vishwas said, see your engine needs to run particular kilometers before freeing up, keep her running slow, I would recommend you use within city till the first service is done, Please keep a check under what rpm you need to keep her by having a word with your SVC official person. I am just wondering if you are following the running-in/break-in for your bike as mentioned by the company. Usually you are not supposed to cross 4000 RPM which is usually equivalent to 65 kmph in 5th gear for a Pulsar 220 DTSi. So if you did take your bike to 111 kmph, then you are not following the running-in religiously. Just wait till 1000 kms get over and then take it to what speeds you desire.Originally posted by utsavchs View PostAs of now, I will follow Vishwasji ...

Something wrong here. He has already been to Lavasa once. Lavasa ride works out to 140 km so even if he started with zero on odo, he couldn't have done only 111 kms till now. Also all bidders should keep in mind following terms applicable for the auction since they constitute higher financial burden :-
8.4) Normally all sale will be treated as Local Sale & the Buyer shall have to pay VAT/Sales Tax as per the Local Sales Tax Act/Rules/Tariff of the concerned State where the materials are lying
12.0) STATUTORY PAYMENTS: The rate of Excise Duty, Sales Tax/VAT Income Tax, Education Cess or any other statutory Duty / Tax / Levy / Charge etc. will be applicable and payable by the Buyer as prevailing on the date of actual physical delivery of materials. The rates of Duties and Taxes displayed on the e-Auction Website are only indicative and based on the rates prevailing before the commencement of the e-Auction. Successful Bidders shall have to pay Income Tax by way of TCS @1.0% plus 10% Surcharge and 3% Education Cess on all Scrap items purchased for trading as per Section 206 C of IT Act 1961. The TCS will be calculated on the gross Sale Value i.e. Materiel Value plus Excise Duty (if any) & Sales Tax/VAT. Parties eligible for Tax Exemption or Lower Rate of Tax should produce prescribed Certificate from Income Tax Assessing Officer at the time of payment. Notarised Photocopy to be given alongwith Original, the latter will be returned after verification. Manufacturers who are exempted from paying Income Tax, must submitted Certificate to the PRINCIPAL/MSTC as per the format prescribed U/S 206 - (C) of Income Tax Act 1961 at the time of paying the Balance Sale value. All successful Bidders must submit their Income Tax PAN No. at the time of making the payment of balance sale value.Last edited by trustvishwas; 01-21-2011, 11:13 AM.Never argue with an idiot. btw, i have a doubt... we will be expected to pay base price + import duties 110% + fine 100% on top of this, these bikes are second hand, so why get these instead of new ones?Suffering from Parked Motorcycle Syndrome
