How about ride to Jejuri?

Jejuri is one of the famous temples in Maharashtra. Popularly known as ' Khandobachi Jejuri ' - it is one of the major Gods in Maharashtra. The God of Jejuri - Mhalsakant or Malhari Martand - is popular amongst the Dhangars. Dhangar is one of the oldest tribes in Maharashtra. Khandoba is known to be their god. Jejuri is to the South - East of Pune towards Phaltan. But the temples of Khandoba is situated on a small hill , so can be seen from the approaching road.

1) Jejuri Khandoba Temple, Nazare Dam.
Or
2) amby valley via lavasa, tamhini,ghat.. Road condition at tamhini is pretty bad.. But its gonna be a great all type of roads ride.

Or
3) simply go to amby valley via lonawala via nh4... Smooth roads all way arround, breakfast at RK, session on cornering and all...

Well said Ant.Biz. Bahut zyada thandi hai bhai, and a good sleep is required before a good ride.

A better combined option (if possible) Pune > Lavasa > Tamhini > Amby Valley > Lonavala > Pune via NH4.

Sessions on riding on all types of road, riding in group formations etc etc.

About Jejuri, someone already said the roads are bad.

Thats weird. I remember people telling me that the Tamhini roads were good

Just came back. Started at 816kms from home. Firstly we went on 4 more kms from The Smile Stone Cafe. Secondly got lost due to a misguidance by a local at the village for which we had to roam pointlessly for about 50kms.
An incident which occurred was I skidded down hill. I had braked but the bike didn't quite stopped and went into a little off road. TVS tyres are really bad for gravellious road.

Till we reached Suzlon Wind Farms, I was on 999.2kms. While I reached the highway I had crossed 1k kms! and I rejoiced! Atlast I crossed the running in of the bike. We then stopped for a break. And while we returning, I tried a new style: Crouching. I found out I could explore new heights with the style. Cutting through the air, and thanks to my riding jacket's wind proofness the Air Braking was reduced greatly. Hence the speed was shooting high quite easily.
I was crouching on the petrol tank and was nearly lying on it completely. The speed was 103 when sitting straight/normal and when crouched on the same RPM I crossed 113KMPH (Kilometer per hour - dis was written like this due the last time blunder) I hit a top speed of 125kmph (Kilometer per hour). I crossed my co-rider (Shadowfall on Pulsar 150) at 109kmph and still climbing. We both were nearly ripping it out. Rode at 119 - 123 for about 4-5 mins and I couldn't see him on my rear. I crossed the traffic like a bullet. It was really enjoyable.

After sometime I slowed as I couldn't see him. I stopped aside the road. Saw him coming slowly. Asked him to learn that his engine was giving vibes as the engine became over heated. We stopped at a near Inn to rest and have tea and rest a little. Till then the engines of the bikes were kept to rest/ cool down. Shadow's pulsar engine was so hot that I could feel the heat a meter away. He put some water to cool the engine (Manual Water Cooled Engine). After wards we started from there to find the roads to Pune was heavily trafficked and heavily jammed. We some how maneuvered through 4 of such jams. Later we found out that the Nagar highway was getting colored (The white lines on roads). And I just now reached home.

aw.. I clocked 77.6 MPH speed. I wish I could do the 80 MPH mark!!

Antz has been thru that route on 3rd jan..
as per his sms from his highness ,
The condition is good.
But in small patches, the condition is not good.. can be termed as bad. But rest is good..

so i can guess that this is the route that almost everyone is recomending
(everyone cos i love love-asa, tamhini, amby and nh-4) .
