I hope he bought the HID with a housing on the lamp that bounces the light back to the reflectors
@Antz. Nice
but dont end it there... Why do we call is frictional loss, when energy cant be lost

We call it frictional losses because that particular energy was converted to heat instead of performing any work in order to push the vehicle forward. The heat was taken out of the system using the cooling system which the vehicle employs so in effect, the energy which otherwise would have been used to move the vehicle was used to heat up the atmosphere(totally undesired end result). This is why it was regarded as lost.Originally posted by satyenpoojary View PostI hope he bought the HID with a housing on the lamp that bounces the light back to the reflectors

I feel that I am now suddenly 18 years old because I am getting the feeling of sitting in a lecture hall; trying to look interested; in a lecture given by potbellied professor who incidentally is just trying to look interested in giving lecture but is not.Originally posted by antz.bin View PostWe call it frictional losses because that particular energy was converted to heat instead of performing any work in order to push the vehicle forward. cc = ml (milli-liters)!
so cc is the amount of ml of water you can fill in your bike's engine's main cylinder. So, it is the "Engine Capacity" to fill water / air / air/fuel mixture. More air/fuel mixture = more potential of extracting power / torque.
So.. Engine capacity of

is

And engine capacity of

is

@Satyen Pondering over your query.. All you are doing is adding weight, increasing moving parts and increasing frictional losses in the hydraulic shaft (Yes I googled it!).
I somehow fixed/patched up my bike. took a frnd (Automobile Engg. and works for Audi) with me to the SVC and we two were directing the mechanic at the SVC what exactly to do....(only he was saying..I was listening to which I understood nothing). The power at first gear and 2nd gear came back(compared to former output of nearly pushing the bike with my foot for some distance). everything is fine except an unwanted noise frm the engine/near the engine over high RPM and the RPM meter acting crazy at sometimes when the RPM goes as low as 1.2k. Need to check on that now. Anyways am not going to Rushabh anymore, I found the Century much better and also got a SVC in my area (Pratik Nagar) and a good support frm the manager. He said, the RPM meter needs to be changed free of cost (WOW) and rest he will do it on next servicing. I tried my best to give the bike for servicing right away but he refused saying unless the bike has done 2500kms he cant take it for the second servicing

how about this answers
What does the term enginecapacity(cc) associate with? What is it that we measure with that unit?
CC or cubic centimetre is the total swept volume of engine by displacement of the cylinder caused by combustion of fuel/air mixture. Bigger the cylinder CC, increased power but lesser mileage. Lower the CC better mileage.
2. The RPM that we see on the RPM meter isrotations per minute of what? Of the wheel? or something else?
RPM is the speed of the engine with respect to HP, not the wheel.
3.There is usually a misconception about 2-stroke engines to be less efficient compared to 4 stroke engines. Is it true? If true, why?
Two stroke engine
Fuel: Draws with every two strokes
Lubrication: Mixed with fuel & pollution levels are high
No valves, less moving parts but less power.
Less fuel efficient for same Qty of fuel.
Noise levels slightly high.
Fuel to exhaust cross over is more.
Less power per RPM
Four stroke engine
Fuel Draws with every four strokes
Lubrication: Separate lub pump & low pollution
Valves & moving parts, generates more power
Longer efficient use for same Qty of fuel.
Moderate noise levels.
Fuel to exhaust cross over is minimum.
More power per RPM
This are not goggle answers.

2st makes power every 2nd stroke, while 4st makes every 4th stroke. Hence, 4st can't make more power per RPM, as compared to 2st.Originally posted by shrinathrao View Posthow about this answers

In theory, when comparing a 2st and a 4st engine with same engine size. A 2st engine will make double the power to that of a 4st engine and will be half as fuel efficient as that of 4st.2000 Suzuki Fiero | 2004 Bullet Electra | 2004 RX135 | 2005 CBZ | 2009 Karizma | 2009 Punto 1.4 Petrol | 2011 Yamaha YZF-R15

Just saw an accident at MG Road. Was with shrinath. While returning frm Venky's a HH ZMR (White) was trying to race with us two as we are going in a dual line formation. I was tailing and Shrinath was leading. The ZMR came revving at a high speed. He was gonna crash into me, but thank god I saw him on my RVM and sliced onto the left side and he went on straight at near about 87~95 and took a slight right and a Dzire came in front of him and he "panic braked". It was quite an awesome scene. He braked and did a stoppie but his front tyre touched the car's body and he couldn't control and had a fall. He was with a female pillon, both fell with the white ZMR on their legs.
Estimated Damage to the bike: The fairing was damaged.
Estimated Damage to the rider: Quite a fall that was as he did not even wear a helmet not even his pillon. Few bruises, a head bump and they did get a pain on their legs.....Riding the Indian Monster : 200NS....
