I was planning to take the route via Karad but now postponing the plans until the tigers are shooed away from the highway and the Koyna. (The recent tiger outbreak is the latest news from karad and I am damn afraid of karad these days because of that)

roads till karad are super good and there are 3-4 ghats on the way as well. I had been there 3months back while riding my uncle's bike Yamaha Alba .But from there, I have no idea of the roads except the highway goes either to kolhapur or Solapur.

Hey can someone throw some light on query I have about this engine? Its a rebuilt BMW R100 and has a 2 cylinder Boxer engine. But whats the upright part between the two cylinders? Why it is so big and has air fins??

OT: Can anybody tell me, where in Pune can one gets his BIKE's K & N filter cleaned- properly? Like mentioned on their website-Using K&N Cleaner and Recharger Oil.

Extreme Machines, NIBM Road.
That Guy cleans it using K&N Products.
I have never gone to him, but my friend(s) get their K&N's cleaned from there.

Not a very good previous experience.I have purchased my K&N from Fareez only. He just looks after imported and superbikes. For local bikes work, he sends them to his aide Tabrez. That guy has no technical knowledge whatsoever.Last time I got my filter cleaned, he just used the Cleaner. Neither did he wash it, nor did he used the Recharger Oil. When I asked him why, he said this is the way its done. No need of oil. What about the K&N's standard cleaning procedure?-Thats not right. I was so pissed off, bloody ruining my filter!
