The Official Mangalore-Manipal Offline Meet(G2G) Thread

Hey guys..whats happening here...had been offline for long time now..good to see the Mangalore thread active..some new members also have come in.. I guess this calls for a small G2G..

So the Madikeri route is also potholed then! That is actually what I am looking to avoid. Looks like its Kudremukh in that case. Thanks nevertheless Kwokfist!

On my way here to mlr today, a black Karizma whoooshed past me. It was a red riding jacket and a Cross helmet with a black backpack slung behind. I think the jacket was an alpinestars. Anyone else riding up today?

Sorry parjwal...i guess im too late here to reply..but yes it was me who passed u i guess..u where riding with the Cramster jacket..? I had been to bangalore and was returing to Mangalore on 17th..I had taken the Madekeri route while going and Sakleshpura route on return.. I must say both the the roads have become horrible now.. Via Madekeri its like 70 Kms...and Via Sakleshpura its around 30-40 kms of roads have Spoiled..!

Yep mate, that was me riding at a snail's pace of about 65kmph when u rocketed past me. I came via Hassan/sakleshpur/shiradi Ghats.

I got back to blr 2 days later via karkala/kudremukh/kalasa/belur.

Oh...my bad..i dint know that it was you...Yeah you where riding very slow..but then my a$$ was set on fire tackling that Sakleshpura OFF roads..that i wanted to reach home has soon as possible.. So i was riding like that

Sunday Ride

Guys..thought of a ride on this Sunday...it will be good if the new members come forward for this ride..it would be like a small G2G....and Manipal members too can also think of this..the destination part is not yet finalized...either it will be Kudremukh or else Bekal fort...please do confirm here if any one is interested to join

Let's do something fun! I find Kudremukh to be boring nowadays. We go atleast two times week. In fact, I'll be riding to Kudremukh with Ranjan one hour from now. If at all, we are riding somewhere, let's ride to some unexplored place.

I'm thinking of something similar to what we did on our Kodachadri ride... Leave Mangalore at 6AM, return by 12 or 1AM.... It'll be fun.

yeah i know...many of us also have been to kudremukh a lot of times...so i guess we can rule out that place....the destination part is not that important here...it would just a fun ride...so we can decide upon it later by consulting the other riders...anyways...for the time being...the riders who are confirmed for the sundays ride, stands as follows:

Count me out! I just returned from Kudremukh this evening. I'd rather do a solo to Agumbe or some other unexplored place, than go to Kudremukh for the third time this month.

Can't you think of some other place? How about down south in Kerala?
