For so many people to have reached the event to participate, it must have been publicized by Yamaha. What stopped them from communicating in writing the safety rules along with the handouts, website etc.. and at the time of registration. It is a no-brainer, they slipped bad and had no foresight!Originally posted by Aryan View PostAn eye should have been kept out for hooliganism. That should have strictly been done away with. By hooliganism, I don't only mean any kind of stunts, but also general hooplah.
Also, if the participants were not wearing proper riding gear(s), they should NOT have been allowed to participate in the particular event (track race, drag, slow race, etc.) in the first place. No use letting them participate, crash and then subsequently trying in vein to cover up the mishaps by saying it was not YAMAHA's responsibility checking each and every owner's/ participant's riding gear/ safety gear. No safety gear, no participation. Period.Life is like riding a bike. It is impossible to maintain your balance while standing still.

Hi Guys,
I've been reading some of the posts here and have refrained from commenting until now. I wasn't there and didn't see what went on but I can get the gist from the postings.
I do feel, however, that when an event is organised (having put together a good few in my time in the trade in Scotland) I feel that the organising body (i.e. the manufacturer in this case) has a certain responsibility to ensure the safety of participants. Otherwise they're taking the money for the bikes you buy without accepting any responsibility.
I've attended, organised and taken customers to track days at, for example, Croft and Knockhill racetracks. The guys didn't get to ride unless they had leathers, an approved helmet (i.e. BS stamped), boots and gloves.
I fully understand that the situation is different in India with the cost of gear being so high in comparison but the onus is on the manufacturer to either make rules that riders adhere to or to possibly (as an idea) put on a show for visitors with 'picked' riders stunting, racing or dragging who are kitted out properly. Jeez, the manufacturer could even showcase their own range of kit while entertaining customers. Simple marketing.
That's just my tuppenceworth from experience in the UK.
Timewas when I didn't give a damn about safety but I've had a few mates killed or put in wheelchairs over the years sometimes because of crap kit. I have my own permanent injuries. The more and better gear you wear, the more fun you have because, simply, you minimise the risk while maximising the buzz!

Did you read the posts following the one you quoted? If you did, you wouldn't have posted that.Originally posted by AnuragAshok View PostFor so many people to have reached the event to participate, it must have been publicized by Yamaha. In any case, giving handouts that advice one to wear helmets at a motorsport event is like placing a "Caution: May burn your skin" board near a candle.

hello all the mods and senior members.... I am sorry to interrupt and since I am quite new to Xbhp... so please forgive anyone feels bad about it....
Moderators are also bikers at heart and a biker at heart have its own taste....and above all all people in here at Xbhp be it mod, super mods, senior members or junior members....I think everybody has their own likings and own fantasy about bikes....so we shouldnt let anyone stop from their freedom of speech as its like stopping the freedom to ride......

As I told someone else on PM a li'l while ago, there's no shame in being a "Fanboy". Everyone has preferences for certain brands and you'd be a hypocrite if you try to hide that fact. Me? I've never ever been politically correct (Ask around.
) and I'm not gonna start now.
The problem arises when fans of one brand start to badmouth all the other brands without reason. Coz that wouldn't be constructive.
That's the gist of it and one is free to disregard my perspective of things if you wish so.
