There are sizing guides. I have bought my gloves helmet and jacket with the help of sizing guides.

Yes, I've seen the gears available at the RE showrooms,, except for some the rest seemed to not be worth it...
Can you suggest some stores in those cities Or some stores from where to buy the products online ?

Unfortunately no riding gears shop at Raipur even we can't get decent helmets. Although you can try RE showrooms at Raipur they do stock some gears but how much worthy they are I don't know.

I and other riders who I know here at Raipur have sourced gears from Hyderabad/Mumbai/Nagpur/pune.

I have bought my all riding gears online. But it's always good to check in person. You can buy online only if you are confident with product and sizing.

My plan for this summer is for a Bhutan Trip approx. 8-10 days. in May start.

Starting point is oswal petrol pump at Raipur, we are planning to leave raipur by 6:00am (tentative, can be changed). Return is on same day by 6:00PM.

Hirakud Trip

So here is the big update coming up from xbhp : Raipur chapter, we did round trip of 550kms yesterday (650 kms for bhilai riders ).

How it all started?

I was talking with Prateek Mohanty (fellow R3 owner) from bhubaneshwar on whatsapp, I told him lets meet up sometime, and then srinath told lets have a mini meetup with some of the Odisha riders and Chhattisgarh riders at Hirakud Dam, Sambalpur. Narrated this plan to prateek he told lets do it.

Riders

From Raipur following riders were there:

Chandan – Yamaha R3
Srinath – KTM Duke 390
Rahul Dewangan – Royal Enfield 500
Inder Pal Singh Rana – Benelli 600i
Ashish – Hero Karizma R

From Odisha following riders were there:

Prateek – Yamaha R3
Siddharth – Yamaha R3
Satyajit – Yamaha R3
Vicky – Yamaha R3
Suven – Hero Karizma ZMR

Plan

Plan was to reach at Nehru minar by 10:30AM, have nice chat and then followed by lunch and by 2:00PM we will leave to our respective destination. From Odisha riders, Suven was coming from Rourkela and Vicky was coming from Balangir, rest of them were coming from bhubaneshwar.

Route

Raipur to sambalpur is 270 kms. We took conventional route which goes via Sohela.

The Ride Day

Everyone was excited for this ride, as per plan we had to leave Raipur by 6:00AM and everyone was on time too, meeting point was Oswal Petrol Pump. But when all things were looking good, a small issue popped up, when I was fueling at our meetup point my bike’s key got bend while opening the fuel lid. Tried to get it right but in the hand had to get back to home for second key.

After all this we started at 6:30AM, maintaining decent speed we stopped after 150 kms to have breakfast. We had nice onion parathas along with tea/coffee. Srinath, Inder, Ashish and Rahul Sir refuelled at Sohela. We reached Nehru Minar at 11:15 AM where Suven was waiting for us. After half an our rest of the guys joined.

We climbed upstairs of Nehru minar, and I must admit view of Hirakud dam from there was awesome. We had a nice talk on the bikes, gears, Bluetooth intercom set and future rides. After clicking some pics, We left Nehru minar at 1:30 PM, we had our lunch near Sambalpur University, and food was awesome alongwith bill, I mean we were 10 guys and bill was just Rs. 1500/-. After lunch clicked few more pics and left for Raipur, we did made a promise that we will plan similar ride again.

After 30 kms I refuelled tank to brim. Return journey was little bit time taking, because of hot weather we had to take frequent breaks to keep us hydrated.We stopped before pithora because srinath need to refuel. After that we again stopped near Patewa to clean our helmets visor which was covered with insects. Last break was taken at Raipur at 8:00PM, infront of magneto mall and everyone bid goodbye to each other, srinath and rahul sir left for bhilai and they reached at 9:00PM

It was a good trip and first long ride of xbhp Raipur chapter, as i say frequently more to come.
