So finally, after a big hoo-haw...everyone rumbles their machines onto the access road and makes the big left onto NH7/Hosur road. The morning commuters, the few of them that there were, are literally in a state of "shock and awe" because of the sheer number of us. Unfortunetly, the line would soon breakup due to the heavy truck and bus traffic. I got separated from my group, as did most people. I believe the desire was to keep all 40 riders together but looking at the sea of heavy vehicles coming up like a rising storm, i knew that plan was going out the window pretty quickly. In addition to that, it started drizzling and the road was become slicker and slicker. This is the part where i started to get scared because of my rear tire. I was trying to keep some of the group, which definetely was not my original group anymore, with me, by driving at a slower pace and letting others catch up, but to no avail. Everyone kept getting hung up in between the trucks, buses, cars, etc. In my head im thinking, where the hell are all these vehicles suddenly coming from!

At one point, everyone rolls to a stop...MASSIVE TRAFFIC JAM UP AHEAD!. In true Indian fashion, we try to find every gap possible to squeeze our machines through...its like a bunch of ants finding every crack in the wall to get to the food. It turns out that NH7 is still under construction at this one point so the road has narrowed; hence the jam. So, finally, after what seemed like the Age of Aquarius, we make it through the jam and everyone meets up on the side of the road. Here we have our first big photo session, with Akhil sir and a couple of other guys doing the honors . I remember someone climbed up on top of a bus on the opposite side of the road like a Monkey getting its banana! it was just a wonderful scene.. . By now there was more and more traffic on the highway and boy were we the jewel in the crown of everyone's eye . But this was nothing, as even more fame and noterity was yet to come! And now...finally...the open expressway...NH7 lay ahead. It was up to us, the riders of the Bangalore chapter of XBHP to make it our own and write history on this day. Would we????
