Ok, If you are coming back thro the Athirapally route to Sholayar - there are certain rules to be followed / declaration regarding carrying of plastic bags / oil cans etc at the entry / exit check posts of Kerala. Think Lijo will know these rules. Pls ask him for more info. Pack stuff accordingly so that you don't waste much time at the check post. The best way is to declare 2-3 items on entry and show them when u exit. This is mandatory.

I'm proud to say that only our guys (Coimbatoreans) still keep the oldies (two strokes) going, that too for long rides! Kudos!
Could they keep up with the likes of R15 and all?

Thanks for the words Shelton. Actually our CBE team is a wonderful team which RESPECTS the two stroke so much that they always lead the group so it is actually R15 which should keep up with the two strokes. But hey it is seriously difficult to catch up with the two strokes in hills!

True that! still remember those days where our pulsars and unicorns used to "huff and puff" trying to catch up with the Rx and shoguns be it climbing Ooty or valparai I was only referring to the straights where it is little tough to keep up with the new bikes. Had a insanely souped up Rx - 135 when I was in coimbatore which dint have that problem either .
I was referring to the person third from left in the image 907.
P.S. Being a coimbatorean I totally respect the two strokes even today, Till date haven't seen any of the new age bikes (includes the ninja as well) give me the thrill what a RD has given me

THE COIMBATORE CONVIVIAL Ride De Vagamon

So it all started with me having to jet from Ooty to Coimbatore at Friday evenining, and boy it was all fun after close to a month of not being able to sit in the saddle.

Finally happen to drop at Pak's room at around 7:30 and the rest is... well.... RIDU! RIDU! PRIDU!

But thanks for the tasty bachelor cooking, Pak. Been a looong while since I tasted some of the same.

Fast forward, breakfast at Theni, the ride continues to Thekkady

After some monkey business in Thekkady, we head to Idukki, to our resort, some 25 odd KMS.

DREAMLAND HILL RESORTS!







This setting was a bliss to reckon with. The CELBRACION started all at night!



It was obvious everyone were squeezed out of their juices. Lijo and Deepak were kind enough to purchase some "fuel" for the clan for the night








Unwinding for a while, Lijo, KV Samy and Pak headed to the hill top for some photo shoot 30 odd KMS from our resort.

Sampath and Dinesh hit the bed real hard, while Gopi was in a transcendental state.

After a fresh hot bath. Took the cam and headed out...































............. the real ride continues next.....
