Had a wonderful trip with two two strokes zip zapping the curves and really Yamaha is glued up with the hills and Ram started slowly and when he started showing his speed I was not able to match his speed .... some hard pass with the local guys really interesting ...

That was really fun, don't know if you realized this, my bike was fluttering crazy as the oil injection was at it's maximum at WOT at some curves...Other than that it was mere fun....

Had some fun too missed the route to Konoor on return leg and after nearing Burliar I asked Ram Y Konoor has not come yet

Mettupalayam Varki was not bad i guess, hope Mom was convinced..

Ram,Dinesh & Deepak - Looks like you guys had a super trip.The pics are inviting.(Road vaa vaa inguhu...veedu poo poo inguthu...hmmmm . )

Yes Ram, even my bike suffered with the same problem while overtaking it just fluttered very badly especially while redlining in the second gear...
Yes but Sampath Ji would have carried ear plugs with him

Another reason for fluttering is that as I'm running on Oil Injection which directly depends on the throttle position; the amount of oil goes into the piston chamber is very high as most of the times the throttle is Wide open. Being a 5S that gets into the power band only above 60 or so which makes me to open the throttle more than required...So as the oil gushes into the piston chamber more than required, the combustion doesn't happen properly i guess, resulting in much more fluttering.... Could this be also the reason for fluttering in the second & third hair pin bends itself PSR Ji?

If excess oil goes into the chamber, combustion temperature will actually drop,and unburnt oil comes as white smoke. It will not cause flutter...Have you tried WOT in 2nd or 3rd gear in Coimbatore ?...

Mettupalayam to COONOOR is 1 in 17 gradient while COONOOR to OOTY is 1 in 18 gradient.

PSR Ji, here is my observations and what has been carried out in the bike;

1. Running on a 5S carb that has an oval venturi on which the stock mains are 135, but as i felt the bike needs more fuel somehow at higher rpms, have put a 165 mains.
2. Initially there was flutter and i was assuming it from the choke cable which I unfortunately snapped the OE cable & have put a wire kind of a thing for choke & still the problem was persisting only for me to realize what I did was a blunder...
3. The Flutter is all around in Coimbatore plains itself, being in hills I was experiencing a bit more than usual...
4. Tried cleaning the carb a "N" number of times to find out there was nothing wrong...

Don't know what to do other than to check again with the stock 135 Mains PSR ji... Help me out...
