I am really very excited for this ride....Thanks dada for arranging accommodation for us and lovely to have Archi in this ride.

@all: Please get your bikes serviced by this week, as the coming week (10th April, 2010) we would be leaving for this ride. Any faults, etc. that your machine might have; please get it checked and sorted out. Of special importance are things such as the cables, brakes, tyre tubes (for tube-type tyres), lights, etc. Do check everything thoroughly atleast a week prior to the ride.

Additionally, please get the PUC Certificate made, as a PUC Certificate is the document that I regularly find missing from the 'complete' set of vehicle papers. PUC Certificate, valid Insurance papers, RC, and Driver's Licence are the set of papers that MUST be present with EVERY member, prior to and throughout this ride.

@Aryan: just ran thru this thread. My ill fate, missed a lovely chance to be accompnied by a vastly experienced clan of die-hard bikers all the way up to the monster mountains and vivacious valleys taking a bow from the moist laden clouds wrapping the scorching heat blazed by the sun over. Really... ill fate of mine. Because my candidature fulfills almost all the requirements.. except PROPER riding gears (i.e. if you pointing towards knuckle gloves, THOSE boots sort of...) ... time bhi haiga, pisssa bhi haiga, PUC to hai hi hai, Also can start the bike in gear with clutch depressed.

Better luck next time and heartiest wishes to all the bikers. Ride safe and always use protection. Looking forward to a thrilling compilation of this journey.

dada thanks a lot for the accommodation and 200rs is cool man though its sad that Desi and DCS wont be in for this ride psstt i thought will get a chance to ride with them as well. But cant help it.


Dada now since accommodation is decided can we have the destination, meeting place & time in advance so that everyone can sort out the plans. As it is knowing your punctuality for time it would be good for all riders to stick to it.

Small update, Desi and DCS are joining in for the ride.

The destination and the meet point are hereby being provided for the benefit of the riders involved in this ride.

Destination - Naldehra, Himachal Pradesh.
How Far - Approximately 400 odd kms.
Meeting Time - Between 0400hrs and 0430hrs. We will meet between 0400hrs and 0430hrs. on Saturday (10th April, 2010) in 3 meet points in Delhi:

1. South Ext. Part-I Petrol Bunk (near In and Out) at 0400hrs.
2. Infront of the ISBT Monastery at 0415hrs.
3. Karnal Bypass at 0430hrs.

Please be at either of these above mentioned places, on time. If someone is late, then he would be left behind, and will not be waited for. We want to be at the Delhi Bypass at 0430hrs. positively.

@all: Please post where each one us would be meeting. Look at the three meeting points above, and post your convenient meet-point for the benefit of one and all. If anyone has any doubts/ suggestions, please post in this thread.

P.S: Regardless of where every member (who is participating in this ride) resides, I would sincierly prefer if every participative member of this ride meet in ONE place, and then we ride.

@all: Please note we will NOT, at any cost wait for the late-comers. If you are late, it's totally YOUR responsibility. xBhp will not be liable for your late-coming. Hence, I would request each and every member participating in this ride to be at the meeting point(s) on time. Punctuality is the name of the game here.

Also, I am saying this time and again, and I will say it yet again: Please keep all your vehicle documents (RC, valid PUC Certificate and valid Insurance papers) with you. The papers will be checked BEFORE leaving for the highway. If anyone is found lacking in even a SINGLE document, he would promptly be asked to leave the ride. No kind of excuses will be entertained in ANY possible way.

Schedule

The schedule of the Ride Safe 'xBhp Overnight Ride g2g' is as follows. Please make sure it is followed strictly and seriously.

Route:
Delhi - Sonepat - Panipat - Karnal - Kurukshetra - Panchkula - Pinjore - Kalka - Parwanoo - Dharampur - Barog - Kumarhatti - Solan - Kandaghat - Shimla - Dalli - Mashobra - Naldehra.

Time-wise breakage
0430 hrs. - Start from Karnal by-pass
0600 - 0630hrs. - Breakfast break (probably around Karnal)
1000 hrs. - Break for tea/ coffee, etc.
1230 hrs - Next break
1430 - 1500 hrs. - Reach Naldehra

Important:
1. All bikes need to be fuelled to a full tank before getting into the meeting point. So, kindly, fill the tanks of your respective motorcycles an evening prior to the ride.

2. Before starting the ride, all vehicle papers would be thoroughly checked for validity. Anyone found lacking in ANY vehicle paper(s) would be asked promptly to leave the ride. Valid vehicle document papers include the following:
a) RC (Registration Certificate);
b) Valid PUC (Pollution Under Control) Certificate;
c) Valid Insurance papers;
d) A valid Driver's Licence.

3. Since we would be a relatively large group, riding all together would neither be safe nor recommended. Hence, three (3) groups of 4-5 riders would be divided, with a leader and a sweeper for each group.

4. Fixed riding positions should be maintained among members in a group, NO MATTER WHAT.

5. Absolutely, NO overtaking within groups and group members.

6. Strict action will be taken by the xBhp Management if ANY member is found not adhering to these guidelines posted above.
