I had seen similar one but he quoted 3.5K so took a Vega from Bangalore for 2.5K.

BTW check the news, Both dams(sagar n srisailam) are overflowing.
Also the entire Kurnool dist is flooded!
So is it safe to ride this weekend?

Isnt it a thrilling part and a reason for a ride. Anyways I would be going to srisailam.

I just have 3 helmets including new, Of which I user only two, another my dad uses.

BTW, arun just said that road after dindi has been cut off due to floods....anyways even he is planning for nsagar tomorrow.

Inflows to Srisailam are 17.5 L CuSecs . SriSailam never got this much inflow in history. Unable to manage the incoming flow, officials are trying to open the first gate of Srisailam dam, which was never opened, which would completely wash away the Srisailam-Hyderabad road.

Karnool, Mahaboobnagar, Mantralaym completely submerged (under 13 feet water). Laks of people on top of roofs. Many projects got washed away, taking many villages in them.

Feeling sad. Till now, all have prayed for water in the last three months and it seems the God approved the wishes at a time.

Yeah, Srisailam is also having danger of even breaking down. If the first gate is opened the Hyd-Srisailam road and even the power generation plant would get washed away.

And Till Dindi there is heavy traffic jam itseems. So My plans changed to Nagarjun Sagar, Satish. Tell me when ARun would be leaving may will join him.

EDIT: Bus services have been stopped to Sri-Sailam and other rayalaseema districts like Anantapur & Chittor.

Dindi dam is overflowing along with some other streams on Srisailam Highway. No connectivity to Srisailam.

I am fearing about the krishna floods tomorrow and day after tomorrow in the coastal area. I am sure lakhs of acres of fertile land including so many villages will be submerged.

OMG, I cannot imagine 20 Lac CuSecs of water at Srisailam; this water is double than the highest ever floods. Now, double the impact of the worst floods of Krishna so far.

They were also reporting damage to the dam, And IF god forbid Srisailam dam breaks, Whole kurnool will be under water.

I dont want to take such high risks, WAter is stil going out from Srisailam, so this must have reached N.Sagar and even its up to optimal level, they may release water from there 2moro.

PS: I saw Sakhshi new channel reporting that only in congress govt there are very good rains and agriculture is prospering!!! CRAP, Its very pathetic on part of such channels which have been setup for private purpose. PERIOD.
