the bike is kind of settling in now - yes a yezdi bore and head - but then it doesn't looks as cute as that of a Jawa. Haven't checked out the autoclutch thing yet - hope U can enlighten me on it.

Hmm.. that's great! Would love to test ride your bike. Rode a yezdi 2 years back. It was amazing. The only problem which I felt was in kick starting the bike. I guess there is some pattern wherein the bike is started in 3 consecutive kicks. Nevertheless, the joy of riding that bike was great. The twin exhaust note is really awesome.

most bikes now aren't coming with kicks - all have the self-start - so yes, starting a yezdi/jawa might appear as a problem - but then this bike is from and era when men were men and bikes were bikes - unlike the present/future bikes which are more of computers than bikes. My view is, each has their own advantages and just cant be compared

I completely agree with you. My dad had a jawa and bullet. He used to tour on them. But he sold those bikes long back. I just wished that I had them.
