I met Pundrick a little while ago. He's starting off on a ride to Pune tomorrow morning. Return on Tuesday.

Petrol strike called off

@All: Petrol strike called off-from tomorrow morning fuel supply will be as earlier. Confirmed by IBP Petrol Pump officials too!

As far as I know there are two things:

1. The petro companies employees were on strike. This is through out the country.

2. The trucks are on strike. This is in few states(at least its in our state)

Now which if the above are calling off the strike. Is the both of them calling off the strike?? Then only we get the petrol. All the media reports so far I read online or in the TV news were refering to the strike being called off by the employees of the petro companies but not much is being talked about the strike being called off by the truckers.

You can go&get petrol freely in the petrol pumps like you used to a few days back. Why bother about the other stuff as long as we can fill up our bikes without having to wait in big queues!

oil companies & petrol pumps do have their own tankers. that's how HPCL is able to supply petrol. So, the oil company employees called off strike and hence the oil company and pump tankers would be on the move...

The last time I see the petrol bunk (BPCL and HPCL at kukatpally) at 8:30 pm, still there were serpentine queues and no stock for petrol. The IOC of Hi-Tec city was still non-operational. It will take at least one more day to get the situation normal. The BPCL and HPCL are gonig to work even on Saturdays and Sundays to get the situation normal.

As said for Raj, if the tankers and truck stirr is still on, there might still be fuel deficit, of course not as intensive as the last two days.

remeber the disussion you/we guys had after the 2 drag meet at abhiruchi hotel??

Entire GQ in a week. we dropped it out. But 4 members from MBC(mumbai biker club) have done it in R15, P220, ZMA and RTR. all four of them rode together on their bike for the entire strech....no relay kind of a thing.

They set a limca record too for the same. and this was sponsered i beleive! And out of the 4 bikes only RTR had no problem execpt for a blown fuse

I have the link to the pics and the log in orkut. Had requested Gaurav(who initiated this) to post abt it in xbhp. he agreed and am waiting for him to post since 3 days!

Few guys(6 to be precise) from team-bhp did the GQ in two cars(safari and scorpio) in 6 days(25th Dec to 30th Dec) and around 6000km. Wow what a coincidence? GQ by 6 people in 6 days and 6K KM!!

Initial cost was 15K per person but they are yet to finish their calculations.

6k km divided by 45km/lt= 133 lit of petrol
so 133 x 52 rs/lt =round about 7k Rs ?
