I am planning to ride Hyderabad to Shirdi via Solapur on Thursday 11th Nov. Below is the main route map that I will be following.
Plan is to Start from Hyderabad @ 4 am and ride on NH 9 to reach Solapur (Approx 300 kms) by evening / early night. I will be diverting from NH9 to see Naldurg Killa (fort) and Bori Dam.
I have already googled for few hotels to stay at Solapur.
On Friday morning @ 4-5 am I will be riding to Mahol and will take a right turn (off NH9) to travel towards Shirdi via Ahmednagar - about 350 Kms. I will be staying @ Shirdi for Friday night.
Saturday, 13th Nov - Darshan and visit to other near by religious places. On Saturday evening I will be loading my bike in Volvo (Kaleshwari Travels) and back home on Sunday morning.
Well, this is just a short version of the plan but there is much more......

Bike - Pulsar 150cc
No riding @ night

Please let me know about any possible suggestion from your end.... may be related to bike, safety, route etc....

You can well reach Sholapur before evening and may be by afternoon if you can keepup good speeds and start exactly at 4.00am. You will be having ample of time.

Be carefull of NH9 after Sangareddy. Volvos and Travel buses fly on these two lane road. Try to ply this route in little day light.

Hi, I have done Hyd to pune ride few months ago . The road till sholapur is pretty fine but rest is a big torture. Loads of potholes and road under construction leading to traffic jams and asusual MH buses riding with you on the right side of road. Completed whole in 9 hrs including breaks.You have got ample time.Have a happy journey

its been long time i had been to a long ride .so i was planing to go on a solo ride from hyderabad to jamshedpur in december. The desired route would be on Nh 7 upto nagpur .
The problem is that my bike has still covered only 250km now .i was thinking of doing first servicing at nagpur .will the long ride stress the engine .any negetive effects ?need your suggestions .

1st complete the run in of your bike before you attempt anything of this sort. Else you might have to dump your bike at the dump yard!

Changed the rear tyre from Veerubber 110/80 to michellen pilot sporty 100/90 on sunday. Costed me 1950 + 150 for the valve. Vee rubber lasted for 18k kms but i dragged it till abt 22k kms (short on budget). I wanted Sirac Street 100/90 but the shop keeper still did'nt get the stock. I did'nt want to wait so i choose this.

Vee rubber lasted for 18k kms but i dragged it till abt 22k kms (short on budget). I wanted Sirac Street 100/90 but the shop keeper still did'nt get the stock. I did'nt want to wait so i choose this.

Good, so this is the 3rd tire in 58K kms of your bike.
I will be needing a Sirac 100/90, if you get a chance get a hold of one for me also. My M45 on rear will survie for more 5000-7000kms only.

sirac is a much heavier tyre compared to m45..i suggest get another m45.

How is the pilot sporty comapred to m45 weight wise? Hows the grip ? M45 sticks like a leech..waht about this one? possible to fit on 18 inc rims?
