People here have seen him riding around country promoting safety and green. All bikers at some or other time have to ride without helmet, which we should not see in a magnified glass. Here your motives behind posting such a pic is clearly questionable.

Each of us have our moments of fame and shame. And then, both can be publicized equally well - whether we like it or not.

The point is not to go firing guns about individuals' riding habits and be considerate to an extent to make them fall in line.

@ all those youngsters who feel bugged by the seniors about safety and safety gear:
This is NOT your day to point fingers at someone and use that as an excuse for not wearing minimum safety gear. Remember, you might get thousands of chances to to get it right without safety but there is no second chance if something goes wrong.

Exactly my point... which seem to happen all the time during team meets.
except that this time he is at the receiving end thats all.

People, any idea how long will it take for me to get my bike permanently registered..? I mean I want a number of my choice, it's not a fancy number.. Will I get it instantly..? Just curious.. The showroom guy is charging 1500 for permanent registration..

Registration would hardly take you 2-3hrs max. But if you are looking out for a particular no, you need to wait for that no and pay some amount for it. Checkout the RTA website. You will get more info there!

The time for getting the number will be same if u register yourself or by the showroom's agent. Only you have to put some effort by which you can save around 1100/- bucks

All you have to do is go the RTA with all documents and wait in queue for 15 mins on weekdays and little more on saturdays. And 30 minutes for the inspection officer to COME to inspect your bike as there will be queue too..for a new bike they really don't do any thing(for a transfer vehicle they inspect a lot) and it's a one minute task once he comes to u....People are not aware that the process is easy and they get it done through agents.

FORM 20
FORM 21
FORM 22
Finance related document if any
LIFE TAX CERTIFICATE
TR NO. DOCUMENT
SALES INVOICE
INSURANCE DOCUMENT
ADDRESS PROOF (copy)
ID PROOF (preferably pan card or D/L)(copy)

* Note all are originals except the last two

Take a PEN, STAPLER and PENCIL (for tracing the chassis no.) with you

The fee structure is:

Application Fees: 60/-
Service Charge : 100/-
Smart Card fee : 200/-
Postal Charge : 35/-
Late Fee : 25/- (I booked after 2 months as I waited for a number)
Total : 420/- Including the late fee... else 395/-

All these are available on the website, go through them...

been there long back to check out the prices.. and picked up a keychain..
prices aren't cheap but then not over the top. seems modest and as usual. its India. you gotta bargain for anything above 1K.
