Firstly, vague queries will not return responses. So please provide details such as city, budget, restoration or resto-mod.
Secondly, please put this question in the Rx frequently asked questions thread and post some pictures or start your own thread.
This is a g2g meet thread. Therfore this question is OT (off topic).

1 city -hyderabad (bcoz this is the hyd thread)
2 budget - whatever is required for a quality job
3 restoration...with some upgrades
its not a vague query
the reason i am posting it here is because of the number of hyderabadies in this thread,
the other reason is that someone has already asked for the same help in the 'thumpers,2stroke and exotics' @ the rx135 restoration thread and was suggested by a senior member to ask for help here at hyderabad g2g,and i did so,
now from here iv been asked to go somewhere else, is xbhp becoming like the government offices were one has to go from desk to desk for help?

and mr balgi i know the posting rules well tho i am not as active as u r,
it is easy for the modern bike owners but its very difficult for the old bikes to find a good mechanic as i own both,
so please help if u have the knowledge and dont act like a strict school teacher here .

Ok. :O WOW 😵. What a response. I'm still reeling from the shock. .
Look brother, my intention was not to piss you off so I really don't know what you're getting worked up about.
I told you to post in frequently asked questions thread for the same reason you posted here (more Hyderabadis). And all of them would have Rx bikes only. As opposed to people here who seem to mostly have modern bikes. So I really don't know why anyone pointed you to this thread.
Secondly, check my profile for my mechanic's details. And you can go through "My Rx100 restoration" thread as well to get more details as thread starter is a Hyderabadi.
And don't get so sensitive about it bro. I myself got tossed about a lot when I was new here mostly because I was trying to find answers to my questions without providing clear details. So take it easy and check out those things.

What is the current state of the bike (electricals, engine, gearbox) ?
Are you familiar or do you know what are the parts you want to replace, or refurbish ?
More than half the job is done if you are able to figure out these, and buy OEM or decent quality parts. I do not think a original bore+piston kit is available (some say yamaha showrooms procure it on request, but i haven't come across it in hyderabad). If there is place for a rebore with a 1mm oversize piston, you can go ahead with that. Pistons are easier to come by compared to bore kit. Other parts are mostly available.
Coming down to your question on a mechanic, I am sorry i cant help you with that. My RX100 is mostly maintained by me (it was restored in Chennai). For regular repair works most mechanics are capable of fixing it up (of course i am always around to keep an eye on them)

I know a mechanic. I only know that he has some skills.. however, I don't have a rx100.. so I cannot comment anything there, but he is well equipped.. maybe you can directly meet him and check with him..? You can come with a friend or someone from xbhp.. I'll introduce him to you and you can take your call..

You can try in Koti area. Many RX mechanics there. Do talk to a few before taking a decision as they can charge a lot to an unsuspecting customer.

no offense to anyone...

went for THE ibw ride yesterday.. and it was the most horribly boring ride i ever had in my life..
i came back home and told my partner wish i could have gone out with my buddies or just a few for some other place. clicked more pictures some long discussions.. some chai and head back home refreshed.....

oh.. what a crappy ride it was.. waste of sunday..

Could someone list down some good places to ride to around Hyderabad? Distance no bar but prefer a to and fro trip that can be completed in a day. Am new and have just managed to go 100 odd kms on NH9 without reaching anywhere.
