• Re: The Official Hyderabad Offline Meet(G2G) Thread

AP traditionally has never managed to make it for the ISG2G's in the past owing to the super long distance, and my attempt at having an exclusive KA-AP G2G from a couple of years back did not work out either.

But times have changed, bikes have gotten quicker and riders have gotten a lot better. So I'd like to extend the invite to you guys as well, I know its going to be long ride for you and you'd probably need two more days than the others to make it for this meet. But it would be AWESOME if some of you can make it for this meet...

Follow the above thread for updates...And if you have a fairly large bunch of people riding down, then we'd probably need to designate someone as a SPOC to co-ordinate with all you folks

I second Praful , finding an ideal place for all the four states has been a challenge however, you guys could possibly take this as a touring for those who wanted to be part of the meet and take the happiness beyond the boundaries. I cordially invite you all to be part of the 2015 Interstate G2G Meet.

Praful and SriramEfunds thanks for the heads up on the ISG2G.
Now its TS and AP let's hope the tradition changes !
Politics aside, and being optimistic for now, I have voted and would love to join in. I did do a 2400km ride in March and met B7ACKTHORN at Ooty
Few of us guys here in Hyderabad have been doing a ride or two every month for the past few months, let me check as to how many would be ready to ride to a longish ISG2G. Some are not active members here on xbhp though, and it could be last minute entries and drop outs.

Would it be possible for you guys to create a fb event for this ISG2G and use the same 'registration' link. A lot of people are more active on fb than here on xbhp.. apart from a few fb challenged guys like me. And you can add the fb link to the ISG2G post as well, so folks who don't use xbhp can register via fb. Or is this going to mess up things ?

Hi Guys

We at xBhp Delhi are having a G2G on the 10th of May to collect funds to help out the people of Nepal through long term xBhpian and Biker, Tilak Soni. It would be great if bikers from your city could come together and contribute towards this noble cause. Details of what we are planning in Delhi can be found in this thread - http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/xbhp-off...ke-2015-a.html

Thanks a lot
Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

Give your details here if you want to help your fellow xBhpian stranded in your city

• Need advice to fix my Yamaha RX135 in Hyderabad

Hi guys! I bought a used RX135 in 2008 from Chennai and I've been riding it till date. I've used it in Chennai and in Ahmedabad, currently I've been using it in Hyderabad since a year and half. I've never had any serious problems with it and with the help of local mechanics in both cities I was able to able to maintain it quite well, until recently.

I'd given my bike for routine service with a local mechanic in Hyderabad. I'd asked him to check and rectify some whirring sound coming from the engine. He kept my bike for 4 weeks! I'm not kidding! and finally suggested me to change the block and piston, since i had already wasted so much time, without taking second opinion i got it changed from him. But the problem continued and started becoming worse. I paid a bomb to that guy after he had in fact ruined my bike completely. I took it to another mechanic who was able to fix it temporarily. It again started getting worse and couple of weeks back the sound became really intense and now it doesn't start. I feel so stupid and helpless. After spending so much money, these guys just ruined my bike and are completely incompetent to even identify the problem.

Please suggest some trustworthy mechanic here to fix my bike. My last option is to ship it to Chennai and get it done from my mechanic and get it back to Hyderabad but it'll be too expensive. Please Help!

I'm sorry to hear that.. Mechanics here can be and mostly are not so reliable..

Where do you stay?? I know two guys near my home.. Both know what they are doing.. One is a little thief and steals petrol.. But does a good job.. (& I hate him.. But he has great skill and experience) The other I haven't had much experience with, but is good and honest with the interactions that I had with him..

I can take you to both of them and you can decide..

live long.. live happy.. that's the best revenge that can be served to the people who hate you..

umm.. block piston change, almost impossible to get a oem block piston kit for the rx these days. 4 weeks to fix up a 2 stroke ?
looks like you were indeed scammed.
It's difficult to asses what the issue is , without seeing/riding the bike and understanding what that mechanic did . I do know a couple of good mechs in Chennai, and maybe one here in Hyderabad. Where do you live in hyderabad ?

I stay near HiTech. I've actually given up hope now. It's been stalled since 3 weeks, I can't even ride it to any mechanic. I'm planning to send it to chennai.

hmm.. can u just try these few steps and see if you are able to start it:

Considering the compression is ok:

1. open the fuel tank lid, next remove the pipe that goes from the fuel tap to carb - remove it at the carb end. open the tap and check if the fuel comes out as steady stream
If there's no fuel or it drips very little -- then you need to get the fuel tap or maybe the tank also cleaned. if possible fill up tank with a couple of litres of fresh fuel before you do this.

2. Remove the spark plug wire from the plug (you can leave the plug if you do no have the plug spanner) and remove the plug connector plastic thingy by just pulling it off. You will now have a wire. Hold that wire touching the cylinder head and give a few kicks. You should see a spark fly between the wire and cylinder head.
If you have a plug spanner, then remove the plug and give a few kicks and see if you can spot a spark.
- no spark, no ignition hence bike doesnt start.

3. This might sound weird to you, but next take a screwdriver and tap the bottom part of the carb with the handle side of the screwdriver a few times (gently)
Next you will find two thin pipes that come out of the carb and not connected to anything, now BLOW into each of them a couple of times. Do this with the fuel tap in the OFF position.

Try starting the bike.. this is the blind advice that i can give you at the moment.
Hi tech is close to where i live, maybe we can give it a try sometime next weekend if you wish.

• Good Service centre/ mechanic for Pulsar 150 in Gachibowli, Hyderabad

Bajaj service center in Kondapur is the worst place to get your bike serviced. Had many incidents of over - billing and the recent visit turned out to be even worse.

Found new problems after the service and even the reported problems are not solved. They just cleaned and returned. I went back to complain and get it solved, but, they did few small adjustments here and there, which worked for just 2-3 days.

Decided to give it to some other service centres, even unauthorized ones will be fine, if they do the servicing properly.

Anyone has any info on it? a good mechanic/ service centre in and around Gachibowli, Hyderabad?
