Ohh! hubli->blr stretch is bad or wat will reschedule the timings thnx for the tip buddy.

and no idea about route through bangalore. Some one said about some bypass/circle road to skip the main city and go into hosur road.. have to start looking for it

hopefully i will halt @ my friend's place in bangalore. It is better to get some rest like you said

Just the 200kms between Hubli-Chitradurga are a pain in the you know where coz that stretch of the GQ is incomplete. Surface quality is pretty ok, but the lanes keep alternating and sudden diversions are there. So its best that you cover that stretch in daylight as much as possible. Infact try and pass through Karnataka in daylight as much as possible.

The state of roads beyond the Neelamangala tollgate are in a mess, and if you don't know where the turn is, its easy to miss the NICE road turn off!

Good decision to take a rest, better safe than sorry!

Hello fellows, just was reading through the talkies pages.

Came through some interesting links here, which can be implied for our Mumbai G2G's &
city wide approach. Its fast & cost effective, while it also serves the purpose very well
indeed.

As i am very much looking for our Mumbai G2G / ride / touring, but its that while i check
the pages the things have took place / happened even before i could make up my mind
& sort out time, So with sms technology we would be updated about the local G2G's /
ride / touring very promptly & the coverage would be more & fast at the same time.

UPDATE: While searching on net, it seems there exist such sms channels for mumbai but
they are not as active as they should be,

Mods should create a sticky post on the 1st page of this thread or start all together a
new thread for the same like bangalore & hyderabad or like the mumbai xbhpians contact

Also the sms channel should have regular updates done by whoever initiates a g2g /
ride / tour.

Mods please look into the matter & do the needfull.

goldie ..sms channels is definitely active.Those who have registered receive updates from Mumbai As well as pune.
Try registering once more & post a test message.
For anything else be in touch over phone with someone near your location so that last minute rides can be attended.
mostly look on friday in this thread as most updates will be on by that time & u don't need to scan pages after pages.

yeah dude, have to re-schedule it accordingly. have told my brother about my journey and not to my mom.. unnecessarily she will worry.. besides my dad knows i am gonna come by bike though!

btw, when are you planning to execute this & what about the run-time problems you may encounter, if any. Then how you will debug & report them

i am compiling the whole bike this weekend and i am going to run a UAT by going to hubli.. if it is okay then i will proceed on releasing this plan into production

if there are any run-time problems there is no point in rollback.. i will ad hoc catch a truck and parcel it home

alright that sounds good & impressive as every product sounds before the development commences.
hope you create a good Requirement document, get it analyzed & then after approval, you can proceed with development. Then after reaching to your home, you can get it tested so you will conclude if your development & release was bug free.. All the best
