                  • we are planing for a ride to Tarkarli, anyone wanna tag in?

Route : From Mumbai: Panvel - Pen - Ratnagiri - Kankawali - Malvan
                    Ride Speed : 75-80 kmph
                    KMS : 510 kms (10 hour ride)
Stay : hopefully at MTDC resort which is at the beach
Itinerary : Start from Panvel at 6AM. Reach the resort late in the evening. Do some time pass for the night. Next day visit the nearby places. Next day morning start from the beach at 5AM reach mumbai by 6-7pm.

If you have cat on the wall mind, read this
The Sunday Times, London, has called it one of the best beaches in the world. You tend to agree when you drop anchor at the Tarkarli Beach, a long stretch of white sand that seems to run forever. The water is emerald-green, and when the sun’s rays fall at the right angle, you can see all the way down to the seabed. A line of casuarinas hides it from the outside world, and when you walk past the trees and out on to the beach’s powder sands, you involuntarily let out a long, satisfied sigh.

A good long ride can clear your mind, restore your faith, and use up a lot of fuel.

Always be ready (get geared) to fall and then think of sitting on the motorcycle.

MTDC is very very costly in Tarkarli. You will get hundreds of other options on beach front.

                        • Razor patil:it is indeed a heaven when visited at the right time.
6 of us stayed at mtdc at 1000 rs. per night (depending upon the season)in a single room.
The room itself is of decent size & can accomodate 8 people easily.

food at mtdc is horrendous to say the least.

                          everything else just perfect.

for night activities ,carry 2 bedsheets from the room to the beach ,setup a campfire & booze under the open night sky.Tht's heaven for you

goto eat at hotel chaitanya...best sea food available..

for wood for campfire goto one of those woodlogs supplier (10 mins walk from hotel chaitanya) & you are all set

                          some pics attached for reference.

ohh! can we go there and hunt for a place or is it better to reserve it if we are looking for something other than the MTDC?
