VELNESHWAR G2G

We should go by the NH17
a friend f mine drove from Thane to Rajapur today.
The road is in good condition, except very few rough patches.
We'll ride till chiplun only, sangameshwar road is bad.

less KMs than NH4
more scenic
more corners
lesser travel time will allow us to reach Velneshwar by sunset
less heat than NH4

While returning we'll ride on the coastal road

Meet up at Kalamboli t 5:30am saturday 20 Nov

2010 Autocar Performance show begins today onwards in Mumbai, and it will be a four day event. There are three new models that will be the main highlights of the Show this year. Hindustan Motors will reveal two new models including Mitsubishi Montero and Mitsubishi Evolution X for the Indian customers.

Mitsubishi Evolution X will be powered by a turbocharged 2.0-litre motor that will churn out 291bhp of power. The car accelerates at 0-100 kmph in 6.6 sec and reaches top speed of 180 kmph.

The BS4-compliant Montero comes with the same 4-cylinder in-line, 3200cc, turbo-diesel engine coupled to a 5-speed manual transmission. Power has gone up by 37bhp to bring the grand total to 199.28bhp while the extra 59Nm torque takes the twist force to 450Nm. Minor changes to the front and rear bumper are the cosmetic changes.

At the show, Volvo will present its XC60 SUV also. Equipped with multiple safety features, this Swedish SUV will expand the company's modest car range.

Saw a White Busa running down towards Fountain Hotel today morning. Guy was wearing a black jacket and jeans and white AGV helmet( not sure).

Today I was privileged to ride with a Harley Davidson (dont remember the model) and a Suzuki Hayabusa from Matoshree on JVLR all the way to Andheri West SV Road via Sub-way. The bikes were a perfect mismatch on those narrow uneven bumpy roads. Both of them could not rev beyond 30kmph thanks to the bumper-2-bumper traffic on the entire stretch. I could feel the hot air coming out of their exhaust and the noise was just music to my ears

Yes on Wednesday I saw 3 Harley davidson zoom past on Lonavala - MUmbai .... I think they were taking the bikes from Harley godown to some showroom or might be for the Autocar peformance show. There were 3 but I could just recognise the Harley FATboy Other 2 were way ahead till the time I realised.
