A good long ride can clear your mind, restore your faith, and use up a lot of fuel.

Always be ready (get geared) to fall and then think of sitting on the motorcycle.

Anyways, you made the real EPIC here. Congrats on completing the GQ. But I wonder what took you so long (14 days). I mean you were the fastest to do Leh (which had SOME beauty to look forward to ), GQ got nothing, you should'v done it in 4-5 days max...

There were three more, so I made total six people unhappy! Thats quite an achievement, an EPIC achievement I say!

Why I took so long? Because I didnt start from Mumbai with GQ in mind, nor was I in for some record timings. Plus I was relaxing at home (Delhi) for 3-4 days.

And yes GQ got nothing, all beauty lies in Leh - Manali - Delhi route, which only EPIC riders could witness! So you are still 'the man'!

                        • Bad Day for Honda owners?

Today seems to be a very bad day for Honda owners, at least 2 of them that I have seen.

On my way to work in the morning, at around 10:15 AM on the Cadbury flyover, I saw a BEST bus and was wondering what the f*** it was doing on the flyover. Saw a flash of silver on the left side of the bus and suddenly there were all kinds of braking and screeching going on. I was right behind the bus, maybe at speeds between 65 and 75, and had to brake really hard. First time in my life I did a real, honest to goodness stoppie inches away from the back of the bus, but unfortunately, since I have no idea of controlling one (stoppie, not the bus), I lost control after landing, but luckily, didn't fall, just lost my balance (Nin, need some training on controlling stoppies ). Later on saw that the cause of all this was an uncle on an Activa who tried to overtake the bus on the left and panicked on seeing another vehicle stopped on the road and went skidding.

The next incident was at Dockyard Road at around 11:00 AM. The signal had just turned green and I was one of the first bikes off just because I was first in line, not because I ripped or anything. Don't know what got into this guy on the Unicorn, maybe he didn't like my Jacket or maybe he didn't like my bike, but he took off pretty close to me with his pillion hanging on for dear life, and just when I thought - wtf is he doing? he tried to overtake a tempo from the left (what is it with these guys and overtaking from the left?) and got caught in a crack in the road most probably, and went for a pretty good toss. They were very, very lucky in that both their heads were behind the front wheels of the Tempo which had just passed them.

Luckily in both the incidents, nothing serious happened to both riders, and my faith in the P220 brakes has been reinforced

( Sorry, I couldn't give a second by second snapshot of the incident)

Let's see what happens on the way back in the evening

                          (Phew, pretty long post)
