Code of conduct is same for every one; right from a begger to Mukesh Ambani. These are the rules. It is upto you whether to honour them or flout them.

Having rules does not demean any common man. Singapore has banned chewing gum. I don't see its citizens crying out for their izzat.

Going through your posts, I recollected a Court judgement relating to the idsplay of the Indian flag... Dug something up...

The rules regarding the Indian flag is covered by the Flag Code of India (2002)

It has everything that you guys mention, but it also says...

"There shall be no restriction on the display of the National Flag by members of

general public, private organizations, educational institutions, etc.," - Section - I (2.1)

as long as you do not disrespect it (refer Satyen's earlier post for conditions), I guess spiderweb and other aam or khaas janta are free to carry/display the Indian Flag... (Heck, even Raina wears it on his helmet)

We make too much fuss about respect & on the other hand evry other day of I.N & R.D, we see a herd of newspaper pics of our national flag lying on road & walked over by everyone. very few people bother.

Aji ye National Flag hai, bole toh purey Nation ka haqq hai ispe, aur Nation mey hum bhi rehte hai aur nation ko utna hi pyar karte hai. Aur Tirange ko flaunt karna hamara janam siddha adhikaar hai, disrespect nahi.
