hi....

I am going to goa on 1st dec & i will be in goa for 5 days(all set to go goa)...and after goa(99 %) im planning to go ooty for 5 days....so plz friends...can u let me know the best route to reach ooty....and if possible any idea in which hotel shud i stay in ooty...shud i do advance booking or no.....tc

The best route to ooty should be nh4=mumbai-bangalore-coimbatore-ooty,where u mite have to divert from belgaum , the distance to goa is more but the roads are better and safer than the ol mumbai goa route.Else ol bombay goa route zindabad.

Some pics from our Sat ride to Daman.... was great fun.. managed to touch 160, with 2 of us hitting 170 also. Some great straights....

Awesome sea food in the shacks made the trip even better

he's staying in goa 5 days & than probably going to ooty so a direct route wouldn't help

for goa nothing better than NH17

avoid nh17 at any cost ,it's way beautiful than 4 but very dangerous as well & could be fatal at night

I agree wid the BAT, If ur lookin for fun Nothin beats NH17. If ur looking for Faster & Safer travel, NH4 (I feel sleepy on tht road).

nh-4 all the way man,as its 4 lane,absolutely safe.I was feeling sleepy(i have this bad habit) on the wheel the last time when i drove to kerala as the roads were "Makhan smooth".
For lodging i guess you can rent out cottages.

You can eat all that you can with only one provision – You can get up only to puke and nothing else. If you get up for any other reason, no more food / drink for you. Please update confirmations.

Mandatory Elements : Without any of these, don’t bother. . . . Shrinathrao will personally check all the items.

Documents
a. Valid Driving License: MUST have and carry at all times
b. Bike Registration Papers: Original or Attested Photocopy
c. Bike Tax Certificate: Original or Attested Photocopy
d. Bike Insurance: Preferably a comprehensive insurance, personal insurance would be a plus.
e. PUC Certificate: A valid PUC certificate

Safety Gear
a. Helmet: Has to be in good condition and preferably ISI/DOT certified
b. Thick Jacket/Riding Jacket: Must have inbuilt armour or external armour is also allowed
c. Gloves: Must cover vital points like knuckles and wrist. Cut/half gloves not allowed
d. Knee Guards: Either bionic or regular flex type. Should be worn inside trousers if non bionic.
e. Riding Boots/Sports Shoes/Army Boots: Anything that covers the foot well.
