NEW YEAR RIDE PLANS

New year is just about a month ahead and most of us have made plans, for the rest who have not made plans here is something that has been cooking for quite sometime

Till now we have not booked any place to stay and made any arrangements, we need confirmations from Riders who wish to come for this ride and accordingly we can freeze up hotel bookings etc

Wednesday: 29th December: Post Office (9:00 pm) - Ride to Pune (Satyens house)

Thursday: 30th December: Morning 7:00 am Pune - 10:00 pm (Gokharna)

Friday: 31st December: Party at Gokharna

Saturday: 1st: January: Gokharna - Goa (Palolem and Baga)

Sunday: 2nd: January: Goa - Mumbai (leave goa early at 5:30 am to reach Mumbai by evening 5:30 pm)

This ride can be made in to a car ride, if we have enough people to come in the car (5 nos). Bikers can be on the bike itself

Great plan.... Terrific place for New Years...

Some suggestions:
Try staying on the beach (om beach) in one of the shacks... You will never be in your rooms anyway (we took one room for 10 guys and just used it to dump luggage), and sleeping (whatever little of it) on the beach through the night is an experience...

The shack guys arrange for firewood if you inform them in the evening... You can have a bonfire through the night....

PS: for those interested in the paler skin type, concentration of firangs is 10 times that of Goa...

abhijeet,pratheek,rony and all..whoever going to alibaug please let me know when you all are going...you could do me a favour by just checking the hotel accomodations for me which i have done for the 31st...i myself wont be able to go there before the 31st...so it would be great if you all could help...wont take more than 5mins...

wahi yaar...poora saturday aur sunday bhi isi dukh mein waste ho gaya..




that bugger went to sleep !?!?! saala sone gaya tha wahan ! colgate-volgate laganeka na...

zmr ko zeemar bana diya.....with a new tank pad ofcourse....
and colgate ka to totally dimag se nikal gaya.....

I was also worried about keeping up with zmas and r15, but my 6 yr old P150 did an amazing job.

I@ dinesh: creating a bit of a gap gives the rider his freedom to ride.As long as lead & tail are in sync with routes & stoppages it won't create an issue.

My whole point during night was that,

1) You were leading the pack and becuase of sheer experience you can manage situations like taking proper corners even with huge truck/bus lights into your eyes. People behind you can just tail you in such situations with less risk.
2) The gaps which got created resulted in people who are not so experienced to become temporary leaders for small bunch/solo riders for a small period of time. And they landing up in situations which were really difficult.
3) I was stressing on same pace and rear view watching just becuase of the above reasons. Wanted a safe journey back for everyone as it was raining and the ghats were bad

I can't join or will join with some of my friends--depends on them actually.

every year we head out to some remote location for camping .

OM beach does sound fun though
