Honestly speaking, let's plan something big.Originally posted by on wheels View PostSo brothers, whats the next plan???????
A trip for a day? Night stay?
Where?
But first, let us all ride to Bakkhali and have a night stay there or we can do a breakfast ride to Azad Hind Dhaba within the next two Sunday's.But any one of the plans should be logical for now.And after 13th of May. I am really gung-ho on doing our Sikkim trip.Maybe by the end of May or start of June. But it has to be done, the Sikkim trip is now looking like a Sikkim lottery to me
It keeps coming up and we keep losing its essence.
We can have two such trips in a year,
this year we can round up Sikkim comfortably in May-June
and by Nov-Dec we can have a gala time in Vizag too.
All these while occasionally making visits to nearby locales of beauty within Bengal.

perhaps you need a rewind on the charging coil. Check your battery as well before that. It might need a replacement.Originally posted by chris_terror View PostThings are heating up quite literally both in & out of the Thread with all the rides and heat....well guys i am facing electrical problems with my oldie, battery not charging up properly, changed the rectifier, condenser and did everything possible in my knowledge but this has gone beyond. Konkal jege uthlo
Anyway the M3(M-power,BMW
) concept was nice
However, about the ride last day, well it was just the beginning, it will take time to know each other's riding habits. But responsible people like Bappa,You and Myself have to make sure always that others ride safely and responsibly and in harmony.
That day, I think, there was some disparity in speeding up and down. These things occur on traffic laden highways. But everyone should follow a speed range. The speed range for that was 80-90kmph.But if I report according to my speedometer, there was speeding over 125 kmph and as low as 60kmph and lower.
Some people wanted to go very fast and I had to keep track of them instead of leaving them alone for disaster. But those people who were riding slowly, were doing awkwardly slowly. The speed of a biker's group should not be lower than the trucks and neither should it be faster than Cars.
It seems that next time,a position would be pre-determined for all riders based on previous day's experience.
The faster riders of previous day would be put at back and the slower riders would be put at front.Experienced riders like Bappa,Sayan and Myself would have to take care of the lead,mid-section and back-section.
On our journey to the dhaba previous day the riding was beautiful, because everyone was following the lead. The return was horrible, I do not know why ??? there were separate stops on the highway and everyone was riding on their own.I have reports that some bikers even in the slower group had done irresponsible maneuvers on the Highway.
I know,it was a first day on highway long for many and in a group. But while in a group there are certain rules to follow and certain responsibilities to fulfill.Everyone in the group is like my brother, that is why I say,we should not let our EGO ride us, let us ride in harmony and with our conscience and trust the more experienced at wheels and group riding,in that way we all can enjoy every trip very well.
But practice makes perfect,so we have to ride together frequently to keep things developing.
I am also thinking of shuffling of positions of the Lead and Midsection and Back would be nice idea. What I mean to say is that, if someone chooses to lead on the starting journey to, he should shift to back or mid section on the return journey. If someone chooses to trail on the starting journey to, he should shift to mid section or front on the return journey. The same goes for the one in mid-section.
According to me,the man in the mid-section is most important,he alone is responsible for keeping the faster and slower pack together.
So looking forward for these gradual amendments in the next ride.
@Raneet: pls bring your friend at our G2Gs too if he is interested.
Let him not miss the fun one can have with us.

i felt the return was better as while going to the dhaaba only mach50, pranjal and me were together in the beginning while the others were trailing behind...
after the hault for tuning my carb i decided to stick to a constant speed and i realised that only mach and pranjal were going too fast... and hence later me and sayan maintained the speed leading the rest and following the ones ahead...
while returning, at first things were a bit messed up as me and sayan were trying to follow mach and pranjal and also stay with the rest and ultimately we turned out to be in the middle where there was no mach50, no pranjal and others were way behind so we decided to stop and wait for the rest and join them... so did we...
i rode perfectly slow and with the group all the way only twice or thrice i speeded up that to for catching up mach50 and pranjal as i knew my machine was the only machine that could catch you guys up, once when me and sayan were getting in the middle and once when bhaskar had waved me the flag to ride fast and catch you guys up but i couldn't see you guys anywhere so we finally decided to ride all by us in the group and so did we. don't know if any one else mis-maneuvered, but if you are talking about me, i have valid reasons...
well mach05 you are quite senior to me in riding experience but i was very upset with you and pranjal as you guys rode as a seperate group all the way as if you guys were not at all with us...
if asked bappa da or any other member who were in the later pack, would agree that we all rode in perfect synchronization and alignment all the way back...
so pranjal and mach50, i would request, next time please stay with us... we were faster than trucks but you guys were way way faster...
no offense guys take it as simply as possible...
in the previous ride you should have thought that there was a Wind125 that too with a pillion... 90kmph for Wind125 is attainable but the think about the rpm it would have to run on all the way and the level of vibration the rider and the pillion would have to suffer... is it possible to ride such long distance with such pain? its really tough to maintain that speed with a 125cc commuter with a pillion and strong crosswind man...
we definitely need to stick together and ride more and more before taking up any big project but things need to be chalked out before...
what i felt was a two line zig-zag formation was better than the planned one line formation, gives better confidence somehow... zig-zag is the formation me and sayan maintained all the way up and down and i really appreciate the way he did it and also guided me do it... hats off man...
what i realised is there's no fixed speed that can be pre-determined like "yaha yeh speed perfect, wha woh speed perfect", but we should adjust with the rest...
correct me if i'm wrong...
and pranjal and mach50, please don't take it to your heart... its a request... i just spoke out what i felt... just my share of observation and realisation...

I needed to look after everything, I hope you understand me, it is not a blame game over here.Pranjal wanted outright speed and I cannot leave him alone. On the beginning journey, I made stops to ensure that the pack remains together. You got troubled for your Pulsar220s idling going high, the others were troubled by traffic on highway. But we remained more or less together(I was able to see each biker on my RVMs,yes even the last bikers of the group,Wind125 and Avenger220).I cannot stop on the highway right away for tuning your bike out, because I required to find a safe place for the entire group to halt safely with enough space.Originally posted by Raneet View Post
and pranjal and mach50, please don't take it to your heart... its a request... i just spoke out what i felt... just my share of observation and realisation...
On the return journey, it was impossible to keep it together. The Pulsar 220 of Pranjal was going devastatingly fast, but when I tried to group out the lead ,it was feeling very awkward that even after coming down to 40kmph, the group was not catching up.
Also, please do not doubt the Wind125, that day, that bike, came with us,fresh with new brake pads, which was jamming the front tyre.By next week it would be easing up,going above 100kmph would be breeze for it then, and with lesser vibrations it won't be pain.
What Sayan and you were doing, was actually the mid-section and that is an important position, but from next time to get this thing right, slower riders would be up front, the mid-section would move back a little more.We will see how the new set-up does. The group should be like a train, speeding up and slowing down together. And I promise to myself, that I would try everything to make it that way, just all your support is needed.
I have regards for your observation, and you are absolutely free to speak what you felt, without minding me.I had been through many things before over here,I don't mind it.My unwavering passion for biking and my love for fellow bikers always tops it.
Pranjal is a new rider,he feels exactly what I felt on my first outing on the National Highway with a 125cc bike.Only Bappa and Sunny bears testimony to it
He will do better soon.
But riding together would only get better with repeated practice.
I am keen on discussing our next ride.

good that you took it lightly man but i have a doubt on the highlighted part...Originally posted by MACH50 View PostI needed to look after everything, I hope you understand me, it is not a blame game over here.Pranjal wanted outright speed and I cannot leave him alone. On the beginning journey, I made stops to ensure that the pack remains together. You got troubled for your Pulsar220s idling going high, the others were troubled by traffic on highway. But we remained more or less together(I was able to see each biker on my RVMs,yes even the last bikers of the group,Wind125 and Avenger220).I cannot stop on the highway right away for tuning your bike out, because I required to find a safe place for the entire group to halt safely with enough space.

throughout any highway there's a white constant mark on the left which is meant for stoppping... and i had signalled you quite many times and for quite a long distance... and highway teo space er obhab? truck er por truck dariye jachche, 8-9ta bike dhorbe na?
sorry can't stop laughing here... however that was not an issue.. the only complain i had was you guys going faster...
the problem i was facing was i realised my AFR was set to a leaner mix and riding constantly at speed around 85-90 was a bit harsh... so i decided to go a bit rich...
anyways lets drop the topic...
