guys, i had posted this in the chris pfeiffer thread. thought of discussing with you guys as well here.
i had been to the chris pfeiffer event that took place in kolkata and I was really disappointed to see such less crowd to see such great men showcasing such wonderful things live. When i reached, there was no one there but members of the road rollers, redbull event organizers, securities and later spotted someone with a xbhp tee-shirt and a blue cammo. There was no posters no announcements, nothing. I reached there around 1pm because i had assumed that i will not be getting any parking space if i go around 2pm but i was so wrong. even when the show was over and we came out, the parking was not even half full. also came to know CP himself was very shocked that there are so less bikers in Kolkata. Biking culture needs to grow more. Biking should not just be confined to riding, stunting and posting in biking communities, but also knowing Gods like Pfeiffer. I joined xbhp this year and last year i didn't even know he was here. was a disgrace. here if a celebrity looses a hair, it is printed as headlines in the supplementary newspaper sections but events like these get overcast. Events like these should be encouraged even more and i personally feel the publicity was not enough for someone so great who is doing a free-showcase live.
We need to grow, We need to know.
what do you say?

I would say, for such a great persona like him, there are certain things that should be considered for all to enjoy:Originally posted by Raneet View Post
what do you say?
1.It would have been better if the show was organized on weekends instead of the beginning of the week.It is the month of March and people who works for a living knows the blues of this financially significant month. Most of the office going bikers were unable to attend to meet despite so much of wish only due to time constraints that their daily schedule demanded. Moreover the month of March left them no space to make adjustments.
2.Biking culture would always grow if the fuel prices do not keep on rising, roads are maintained properly after digging, and people learns some on road discipline.Foremost of all the attitude of people on and for two wheelers should change.
3.Chris Pfeiefer's show should not be free of cost. There are reasons why I say this.More crowd would have meant a good biking culture in Kolkata, its true..........but how much of that crowd would have effectively seen his stunts ???? There was no crowd management at the show. The personnels appointed over there only stood like dumbass statues without ensuring any proper arrangement so that everyone can enjoy the show properly and they protected only VIP's back.Taller people stood at front while shorter people stood at back.Unknown folks kept crowding here and there and messing up things that promised an enjoyable show,a show cannot be enjoyed if there is pushing pulling tugging at the a** all the time.Just think if it would have been a bigger crowd with the known attitude of Kolkata, there would have been pickpockets and fights too.
For a proper show,It could have been arranged in an Indoor stadium with gallery and also tickets would have been a far better bet.People does not know the worth of a certain thing until and unless they pay for it.
Chris Pfeiefer might have been shocked to see so less crowd but was equally exhausted at the end of the show because of direct Sun and too much of autographs and photographs pose right till the end, someone tipped the personnels off and every Tom,Dick and Harry kept crowding over him.I say all the above because I kept a close tab on each and every minute details of the incident.
At the end of the show I understand that Red Bull kept looking for opportunity to sell more cans but the crowd they have targeted won't buy that.It would have been better if they have arranged tickets for the show. The biggest loser in the event is surely BMW, I can assure everyone, of all the people present not even one would buy a BMW bike ever. So, its not worth for being a free event.Chris Pfeiefer's stunt show is a sport and we know we cannot watch MotoGP with our eyes without paying or football or cricket at the stadium without paying. So making his stunt show free is also a disrespect for Chris.
True Bikers at heart and true fans of Chris won't mind paying to see him.The organisers should also respect the people they presented Chris to and should reschedule any such event on weekends.
I do not know what it seemed to Chris or his sponsors but I was pretty disgusted at the way the show was managed. It is true that few people did not need to be worried about such things, but I can't help observing these things.
Biking culture can only grow with change in attitudes.Last edited by MACH50; 03-25-2011, 04:25 PM.Hell's Angel

the area? don't you think the area selected by redbull was also bullshit? nobody can ever stunt on the tiles and common sense is enough to understand that.Originally posted by MACH50 View PostI would say, for such a great persona like him, there are certain things that should be considered for all to enjoy:

The area is not at all for stunts, instead the parking lot adjoining tarmac outside of that place would have been better. For organizing such an event certain degrees of thought was needed.I do not know what had been the catch but Chris performed over there only,he has to keep his sponsors happy.Originally posted by Raneet View Postthe area? don't you think the area selected by redbull was also bullshit? nobody can ever stunt on the tiles and common sense is enough to understand that.
How Chris kept BMW happy, look at video below.......you would be amazed in what places he can perform.......

Hi Friends...
making a 'post' after a long time.. plz excuse...
I am upgrading my set of tyres n am opting for 'MICHELIN SIRAC STREET' 100/90-18' (for rear) & 90/90-18' (for front).
I searched many tyre dealers in Kolkata today.. but they are saying that the tyre is 'out of stock'.
Can anyone suggest me or inform me... from where i can get these..!?!?
THANKS... in advnce..>> RiDe SaFe > RiDe LoNg >>
