Jagadhattri Puja Chandannagore Ride.
Girls like my butt,
and Sunny Konkal is known for girlish images 
Spent the yester-night resting and today morning was busy.Hence my late log.
Our scheduled time for meeting up at Dakshineshwar was at 8.00am.As usual I was the first one to reach there at 7.56am.Then Sunny turned up when it was 8.35am..........a great day to begin with indeed
Then we went on to rendezvous with Abhinab Neogi Sunny's friend and our guide biker for Chandannagore.He had a pillion with him who goes by the name Bappaditya ......these guys were big shots of clubs of Chandannagore.It is good to have such influential bikers as guides
But we were given a desi style ride through the crowded GT road instead of hitting NH or even the SH,and it was a terrifying experience to ride,with huge traffic jams and cattles and markets all on the road.We cruised at 25kmph throughout the journey to Chandannagore,I got irritated and had no choice but to lug the 150kg thing through it.While Abhinab on his Ambition 135 felt quite okay at the speed !!!!! Sunny was annoyed too
Anyway,after we reached the city,we were treated with tiffin at Abhinab's house.But before that we had already viewed a puja dating back 295 years.
Again we went for some pandel riding !!! And we were treated with all the best Pujas in the city.The idols worshipped here were of 25feet,24feet and 21feet height.Huge idols had that Godly feeling around them.We on the other hand enjoyed Abhinab's company,so well a guy we had our guide,that we parked our bikes right inside the pandals at times and wherever we felt like !!!! We did our pandal to pandal tour till 2o' clock in the afternoon,then we turned ourselves to some Historic place at Chandannagore.We visited the Royal palace,which is now a museum,the Old Church and the City Watch tower,all along the bank of the wide river Hooghly.The place really had a Western air.However we had to drop the concept of visiting the Old Fort at Bandel near Imambara,Abhinab was not prepared to take us there.So I thought that on a later date,with we would visit the fort with a Xbhp group which would have atleast Onwheels in it.
After finishing our fishing around,we got down to lunch at the Red-Chilli restaurant.Sunny and I were feeling like some big bikers,who parked their bikes outside some motel and grab some food.We had this big biker feeling about us
During our return we opted for the faster but longer route through the SH.We left Chandannagore outskirts at around 4.50pm and reached Kolkata around 5.15pm.Kolkata was only 40-50kms away and we flew it
Sunny had a few problems of overtaking vehicles and passing by bigger vehicles......but he did his best to keep up with me,though I waited for 3minutes at important turnings...anyway,Sunny's riding pattern is changing for good.

An Idol of the Goddess

The highest and biggest Idol.........25feet in height !!!! The Puja of Chandannagore Tematha.
The Pandal is themed on ancient bird's reserve,the Puja of Naba Balak Sangha South Chandannagore.

I noticed the Sun light on the eyes effect of this sculpture of the mother Goddess.
We know unleaded petrol,but this Idol was colored with unleaded paint !!!

A very nice experience indeed.
Biking does a lot of good by helping us reach all the festivals and all the places,while breaking free of our daily chores.
