Technically there are officially 2Black Hayabusas...and unofficially there are 4black Hayabusas [2004 and 2006 model], And about that R1 I don't know man. He's not in my DADA's list.

          • MACH, looks like u had an awesome ride with our beloved XBHPians.. sorry that i couldn't make to the evening G2G that we planned.. sadly i spent my Sunday @ HONDA SVC .. Oil Filter change and getting oil filter for CBR is one of the most difficult job in INDIA now..

but on Saturaday went to BANDEL.. Took the GT Road as u suggested.. it was good riding under the shades all through the way..

I have also seen a Black Busa @ city center 1, couple of months back.. And guys there is a new R1 delivered.. Went to Yamaha factory shop on 15th July (Friday) to take delivery of a FZS for my friend and had some chat with the showroom manager, he told there is a Blue R1 going to be delivered that day and if i stay for sometime i could see a brand new R1 but had to come to office and it was already 1.00Pm.. so couldn't...

It all began with when Bappaditya aka On_wheels suddenly gave me a call when I was about to go to an afternoon nap.
he had a plan in mind.............and that was to surprise our beloved Drvmtm and his pal Snigdhanshu with a sudden evening visit to Burdwan.

And both us just got up, checked out our gears and rode off.

On our way to Burdwan.........we had a mind blowing rendezvous with the two Hayabusas and a R1.

The black Hayabusa of Mr.Dibakar and white Hayabusa of Mr.Ved and an unknown person who was riding a new R1 was in our company for a short term.
We enjoyed them racing among each other but the R1 riding biker seemed new to bikes.
I gave them a follow when they pulled away with my crazy GS150R, (that left Bappa bewildered ) and Mr.Dibakar zoomed off, with Ved trailing him.But the black R1 seemed new to biking and rode with me for sometime.I helped the rider with some overtake leads, before he finally turned towards Kolkata. It was nice riding with him.

Then Bappa caught up and we stopped at Gudaap Dhaba(Hotel Hindustan) in hope to join the 2 Busas with some tea, but they were nowhere to be seen.Methinks they rode away towards Shantiniketan.

So, on we went to our destination and finally spent a fun evening in Burdwan in the company of Doc and Goldie.

And while returning both us carried out an invasion on the highway, riding like as if we were high on adrenaline and lighting up the Highways like daylight......the Xenon lamp on my bike had made a day out of night and with Bappa following, we were moving like a highly strung four wheeler together.

It was so exciting to ride that even words cannot define...........we played with trucks and cars, neither speed nor light limited us.We ruled the highway at night.
              We literally enjoyed.

Here to the only two pictures, the ride was so sudden that I did not get my camera. But Bappaditya has a lot of pictures on his mobile phone camera

Goldie's bike P220F blue, my GS150R navy blue, Bappa's red ZMA.

When it slowly turned evening from twilight

              Enjoyed a lot !!!

@Raneet: its nice to find that you got bike to clean with no more of muddy monsoon playing soil.I too cleaned my ride yesterday after a month of mud and grit endurance of monsoons.(btw, who was wearing the other helmet??? !!!! )
              congrats on the ride.

and thanks mach, the other helmet was my mom's. but i didn't race having her as my pillion, I raced while returning.

                            • Kolkata Bankura Ride

                              Friends,
Need help from you all for a Road Map.

                              Kolkata to Bankura

Tried googling out but lil confused.

                              Route-I (approx 180 kms)
                              Kolkata-Tarakeshwar-Arambagh-Bishnupur-Bankura

                              Route-II (approx 225 kms)
                              Kolkata-Gurap-Memari-Bardhaman-Khandaghosh-Sonamukhi-Bankura

                              Route-III (approx 240 kms)
                              Kolkata-Gurap-Memari-Bardhaman-Durgapur-Bankura thru Xpressway.

Traveling on 13-Aug-2011 with both Four Wheeler & Two Wheeler with family members & return on 15-Aug-2011.

But there is sizeable difference in Kilometres.

Friends suggest the best route considering
                              1. Low Sedan
                              2. Aged Parents
                              3. Less Bumpy Roads
                              4. Wide Cruising Speed
                              5. Time & Fuel Savings

Sorry for lot of things in wish-list
34567 kms and ZMR sold :(

Sorry for lot of things in wish-list

satyajit da - according to me the third route would be best as in route one road is narrow and bumpy moreover this is sravan mash ( auspicious month ) baba's ( baba bholanath ) birthday so huge amount of crowd carrying baak is going through this route walking and even many autos as well as bikes going to tarakeshwar through this route ( route - 1 )
so would suggest you to avoid this route

route 3 will be the best route as your parents are also travelling with you and in low sedan so according to me NH2 will be the best route as you can drive at a constant speed which will give you good mileage as well as journey will be comfortable moreover less stress on the engine
and to add to that roads are also wide, clear and in good condition though there is a wide diff in Kilometers if you compare with route 1 with route 3 but as aged parents is travelling with you so Less bumpy roads will be good

                                go for route - 3
good luck and ride safe dada
